Are we OK to go for £45 again?

I've put the booking list at 15 per side which is what we had at Bryansk.

Could someone pinpoint the entrance please so I can get a map up.

What date shall we open bookings?

Open bookings the day after "Hauptman Horn" I reckon.

Edit - You've put the wrong date on the sub forum, it says 8th/9th, instead of 9th/10th.

In light of Josh's game the week after ours AND the fact he has yet to post anything up for this yet Guy points out we ought to take advantage and steal a march on him.

Everything is in place so there is no reason not to open bookings or at least give notice we are opening bookings on Monday, say. This event will take loads of people so there is no need to pressure people to 'book early' but once names are on the list others tend to follow, and once they plump for our game they are unlikely to book for Josh's.

Good point, and especially salient now Horn has effectively sold out.

Did you sort this? Did you mean the site entrance?

Map attached.

I'll also make the point again that I tried to make when we talked about this last.

We've only used half the site....could there be an opportunity to use the bit we haven't seen as well as the ground we've already done?-- attachment is not available --

Thanks.

Yes, I asked Guy the same question the other day as I was fearful of yet another battle over the 'bridge'.

Yes, I personally thought that bridge was absolutely shite to play across, it was only approachable from two directions...the rest was deforested. The game descended into a long distance blatfest by the end of it all.

Why the f**k does Yith have to stick his poke in re:scouts? FFS, we're trying to get more players to games and encourage them to invest in kit, yet, stuff that doesn't meet with Yith's approval is classed as "naff"? Stu is extremely pissed off and, so am I. God only knows the effect it has on new or prospective players who already wonder if their gear is "up to scratch"!

Good lord Pete, calm down. Poor old Pete G has an amoeba suit - how is he going to feel?!

I wish you'd all forget about the blummin suits and concentrate on scouting itself, it doesn't matter what you wear!

The trouble is players are going to be buying suits willy-nilly, regardless of their suitability for the role, what with airsofter's obsession about new uniforms!

We have posted NOTHING about what scouts are expected to do, other than what I made up when asked. Pete, if you are leading them then lay down some ground rules on what you expect of them.

Well, for a start, Pete59 would be a shit scout. Put bluntly, he's far too unfit and will struggle on those hills. So, that negates the fact that he has an amoeba suit.

I don't really give a shit what the scouts wear. They could wear sonic the hedgehog costumes for all I care. What I DO care about is the constant stuff about 100% authenticity and comments like "it'll look naff". I DO have the funds to buy perfect, accurate kit but, most don't and, it's to THEM that we should show consideration and encouragement.

I agree, waaaay to much emphasis on kit before they even booked or even been considered suitable for the role.

I'd sort out who is to be accepted as a scout before encouraging them to order fancy costumes.

Pete

You and I will hand pick the scouts on the day or quietly on this part of the forum , and let them know either by PM if we doubt they want to do it or assume they will based on what they say . At most you will have 5 players, and I'm assuming at least one will be Stu . I don't care what kit they have bought or how upset they will get , for the sort of missions you will be tasked with you will need fit and alert people, not people who have bought a clown suit.
Regular soldiers can wear them too I guess , so no need ot say anything publically .

Howdy

It's probably on the forum here somewhere, and I've probably already asked this question....

How much are we paying IED for site hire?
