How is it applied mate? Looks like it's in a spray can to me.

hi,
dampen down your webbing,
pore some Blanco into say a cup, then with a 1inch brisle brush "paint" it onto your webbing, working it into all the corners etc,
let dry and thats it,

warren

ps, not a spray can mate, clear plastic bottle with a over lapping cap,

What sort of coverage can you get from one bottle?
Basic belt kit? Marching order? Battle kit?

i,d expect you could do, (remeber it's over x2 of the SOF bottle)

belt
X overs,
2 x ammo pouch's
W/B (envelope)
small pack
large pack
holster
frog
compass/ammo pouch
+

i,m going to do my set as above (no large pack) and see how much is left over in a bottle,
so fare i,v just been doing odds with left overs from mixing and bottleing up,

perhaps some one can post up how much they did with a bottle of SOF blanco ?

With SOF blanco so far I have done: X straps, Belt, Ammo Pouches, Pistol Holster and Water bottle cradle, Ive not bothered with the bits that wont be seen like the deep inside of the pouches and holster, but I did have to water it down a fair bit to get it to cover this much kit, not too bad but still feels oily even after 6 months.

Bottle of S&S liquid Blanco arrived this morning - its a big bottle compared to the SoF stuff and so looks very good value indeed.
I'll be posting up info and tests on the Blanco website sharpish...

riteo, re coverage,
today i applyed it to my personal set, this hasant been blancoed since CIA Arnhem, i used real 40's powder N03 blanco then,
so it was getting quite light and rather patchy :) i think i may have to re apply but we,l see how it comes out later when its dry.

to give you some idear i ,
A, did not dampen down. B, did not water down the blanco. C, only covered what can be seen.

belt,
pr ammo pouches,
straps long,
holster
pistol ammo pouch
Auto ammo pouch
W/B

and i used just over 1/2 a bottle approx 125-135ml

i cut down a 1inch bristle paint brush about 1/2 way down to get it worked in good :)

Wow, 250ml?
That's equivalent to 5 50ml jars of Tarrago shoe-cream mix which costs ~£2.50 a jar... (and three jars was more than enough for all my web kit and a small pack and gaiters)
Consistent colour and cheaper price, sound like a bargain to me (and I'm always one for a bargain)! :good:
Can we order it from you over this forum Warren?

after the revue on "blanco and webbing" website by choms,
i,l be adding a litle more brown pigment to the mix, to bring the S&S blanco inline with the WW2 original,

good news, i can add this direct to the first batch so the amount of blanco will be over 250ml per bottle,
approxs 260-270ml

many thanks,
warren

Those thinking of giving Warren's product a try might like to have a look at my review of the updated product:
http://www.blancoandbull.com/repro-blanco/repro-kg3-comparisons/

It beats alternatives hands down in terms of value for money, ease of application and appearance - and gets my recommendation.
