Hi all,
New to the forum and WW2 airsoft and i'm looking at joining the forces of mother russia
I'm on a really tight budget and after looking at the proper stuff i just can't afford it at the mo so i'm looking at this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Soviet-Army-Enlisted-Man-Soldier-Uniform-Suit-Belt-Hat_W0QQitemZ130485077893QQcategoryZ70988QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp5197.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7553857036580163808
I know it's not strictly accurate but would it suffice for the game in July (im also currently in the process of converting my VSR into a mosin nagant). I hope to eventually aquire more accurate kit as money comes in but i'd like to know what you think ?
Cheers,

It's the M69 uniform, not even a postwar M43. It's up to you but it's £40 you'll never get back.
Don't know where you're based but have you tried Sabre Sales? He often has a few postwar uniform bits around. You might have to visit though.
I am sure an organiser for the July game will bob along here in short order, but it might be best to ask on the thread for that game, if it is that specific game you are concerned about - as no one else's opinion but theirs counts then .
I feel confident that it will be acceptable to wear for that event.
I'm sure the M69 uniform is acceptable for use at Šiauliai under the look a like rules. As Sasha says though it depends if you're happy spending £55 (posted) on an incorrect uniform. Depending upon size you can pick up postwar M43s for less and ok repros for about the same money.
all in all it's better to get a little of the right stuff and borrow the rest untill you can afford the rest.we all like to have our own stuff but a great many of us can't afford it all at once and build up over year's.i work on a tiny budget but dont spend money on thing's that im going to have to replace.for about a year i wore a pair of corgo lightweites instead of bdu trousers as i couldent afford them.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
On the 'item specifics' it says the conflict was WW2 but i guess you lot are right.

Yes they're just trying to blag post war gear a WW2 type/style, which it isn't, to boost it's appeal. You were clever enough not to be cought out and believe them, and did the right thing and ask others before buying
As Lardassmonkey says, it's an M69 uniform, so it was introduced in 1969, well after WW2! Best aim for the M43 (ergo; introduced 1943) type; either war dated, post war or reproduction, as they can be bought for about the same money (except genuine war dated ones!) and are the correct type

would 4A and 32A on http://www.frontofrussia.com/army.html be better?

Yes, but don't order from Front of Russia if you want your kit any time soon, if at all. Have a look at the thread at the top of the section for recommended sellers.
I got a dirt cheap but perfectly acceptable repro uniform from HIKI on ebay, and just made up the rest from other bits I had lying around. If this is for the Gunman July game, he usually has Sov uniforms to lend out anyway (or is this for the CiA July game??)

Well my loadout only cost around £100 in the end, and the most expensive bit was the shirt
