I'm waiting for mine and Gadge's kit to arrive, as it's somewhere in transit at the moment, but just out of interest, after the flurry of enthusiasm a couple of months ago, just how many of us are prospective 'Frontovik' now?

looks like i'll be using a captured MP40 for the time being, much like everyone else!

I haven't ordered yet, but intend to perhaps the end of next month, if I can still get the same deal as I was offered. I'm well up for this.

Still trying to find a job so I'm short of money but as soon as I do I'll be ordering my kit. I don't think i'll be opting for the deal though as I need some boots and fance a greatcoat rather than the padded jacket. The VCRA may keep my SVT project on hold for a while though unless I find a M14 for very cheap before it comes in.

Its certainly on my list, though the lack of Ruski WW2 era airsoft weapons is a bit of a put-off. The moment a PPSH-41 comes onto the market i'll be soon on the case!

Russian stuff still on the wanted list for us.

Will probably be ok to order in a month or so - all money at the moment has gone to Warren for two Lee Enfields before October.

I`m quite a fan of Russian gear simply because its so basic, I may have a crack at this now my FJ impression is complete :)

It's also cheap, £105 will get you a complete set of summer tunic and all the equipment you'll need delivered from Frontofrussia. the only extras you need to source are some boots, and a helmet if you'd rather go with that than the side cap.

Me and Frontschwein are already kitted up and ready to go with captured mp 40 and k98, if everyone else who's posted comes up with the goods thats a whole section for a Russian front game or TD.

I've been concentrating on stocking up the armoury before the vcra kicks in but I'm planning to order some Russian kit within the next couple of months, I've just got to sort out the extra bits and pieces I want over and above the package deal from FrontofRussia.

As to Russian weapons I've now got most of the bits to do a 91/30 rifle, a M44 carbine, Ppsh41, SVT40 and I'm investigating whether it's feasable to convert an M14 into a reasonable DP machine gun, I've already found a source for the drum mags. I'm currently working on the M44 if it turns out OK I've got enough parts for a second one which I would sell on, so if anyones interested?

Ooo Iffy Trident. :) They're ok but they can take an age! Plus they have a nasty habit of saying stuffs in stock then not actually telling you its out of stock when you make an order. After a month of waiting for my last order I gave up, cancelled it and spent a little more from Ostfront.

Nice to see so many more comrades joining the cause. May have to save up for my Telogreika now :)

Well I advise phoning Trident rather than relying on a web order or you could be left dangling :) as it were :D

Yeah I hope so. I was just looking on their site. They've not got much of anything at the moment :(

No worries tho. I just hate anyone to make the same mistakes I have :)

Its not just the pattern you have to worry about. Its the date as well. They used the same design up til the 60s but different factories seem to have made different modifications. I've got 2, both post war. One is more WWII like than the other but I think they were both made at the same time.

They were both found on ebay which seems to be your best bet (for availablity and cheapness. HOWEVER be very wary of the term WWII in your searches as a lot of the Ukranian sellers will slap it around to make things sell and they're nothing like WWII.

The other annoying thing is that they seem to come in different sizes. If you have a large noggin like me, you can go through several before you find one that actually fits. I actually wear the less WWII acurate one as its bigger. However if youre just after an impression any will do.

Hope that helps :)
