Does anyone know where to get a coat/ cloak similar to the one shown in the picture? It looks a bit like a tarpaulin because of the metal ring but if anyone knows a decent cheap source please reply!

thanks :good:

You won't find anything but a post war one unless you're prepared to pay quite alot. The post war ones are 95% the same anyway and can be easily modified to GPW pattern.

Keep an eye out here as he sometimes has them for a reasonable price.

Just picked one up from there. 1969 dated but with leather and stitched grommets not brass, so perfectly acceptable for WW2 style.

Indeed they are. If you want to be really picky the grommets should only be on one side and you need to remove the loops for the Y-straps but its up to you. 1969 is quite an early one these days, I think mine is only 77.

The grommets are only on one side on this one, think I saw an original from 1944 somewhere on the web that looked identical, minus the loops. Its in very good condition as well, all in all I was pretty pleased with it.
