a bit late but forgot I had not put up here lol,
As the morning sun rose and cast the first light over the Marine base on Tenaru, all you could see was piles of bodies right up to the main base, Marines and Japanese troops all mixed together all dead, the only thing that stopped the base been over run was the lack of Japanese troops, the overwhelming numbers of Marines had managed to hold but at a great cost. The hard work the marines had put into their defences and there larger numbers had carried them through.
Both forces had fought all day trying to get supplies, intel or to blow up targets, the tide of the battle had swung both ways, but has slowly tilted towards the Japanese, they just did not have the numbers to make the final push count.
So the Rebuilding of Tenaru airfield and the marine base goes on, but everyone who was there knew the price that had been paid to hold it ...
Well after another good day, having checked through all the completed missions, on the Day the Japanese won a Minor victory, less than 3 missions separated both sides but like history, they did not get to take the American base.
Both forces will lick their wounds and rebuild and rearm in the area ready for the next battle .. "Tokyo Express"
Victory for the Empire of Japan! Take that, American Savages with your hamburgers and capitalist ways.
yes but we are all dead
