I asked to wait for you as you were dead keen to do Stalingrad. We need to make a game announcement as soon as possible - which would obviously have to include the name & scenario.

Will contact them today. I think the game's on Saturday so it might not be possible. Failing that I'll just jump over a fence!

Game is on Sunday - one of their 'test' days.
Chris White is the chap - (GuzziHero on our and their forums)

Take some pics!

I'd come but we have a second moving house weekend in Coventry to sort James new digs...

Hmmm, no response from my PMs.

I'll try emailing off their website.

Don't happen to have a number do you?

He's replied. The site's run by a guy called Kez, Trigger on their forum.

The game tomorrow has been cancelled, but I'll give him a call anyway.

Apparently the lease hasn't been agreed yet, hence the games aren't formally running yet.

OK, spoke to Trigger and the site's out of bounds at the moment because of meddling locals and an over-zealous council.

This means no site visit yet. He hopes to have things sorted soon and the site should be up and running by December.

I'll get back in touch with him once the site's officially up and running.

Besides all that, should be not have a re-think about the dates for this given that PD's big game is going to happen on 5/6th Dec?

Proposition:

Russian urban game is buggered for November. They may be sites available - new Phoenix urban & Unreal but it is by no means definite and could well not be resolved for months. So, forget them until next year's calendar as we really need to get a game on the calendar ASAP.

November has NO WW2 games. The early December AFRA game means a late November CiA game will be very close. So, if we are to do a game it needs to be early November.

If German bookings don't pick up for the E&E we do still have the option of going ahead but the game will need to be more tightly controlled to make sure there is some contact in 700 acres.
OR we postpone it as-is until 2010
OR we re-schedule for early November
OR we have an early November Eastern Front woodland game - maybe new Phoenix woodland, Sabre Force Birmingham or even F&O Honley (chaps ARE chomping at the bit for a Ruskie game!)

OK, but first we need to wait until after Aerial to see if the E&E bookings pick up.

I'd also STRONGLY suggest that we confirm the Jeds now, but ask them not to book yet. That way, those that have asked to be Jeds that aren't approved can be 'released' to book on as Germans if they wish, thus increasing the numbers for that side.

Agreed.

There is another possibility. Instead of a game, what about a "training event" for the AFRA game?. Be nice to turn up and not look like a bunch of disorganised pillocks. Just a thought, anyway. Could make it a weekender as well - make the most of the light available to us.

Not sure chaps are chomping at the bit for any Ruskie game. "Stalingrad" is one hell of a draw. Fighting over some collective farm in the arse end of the universe doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

They loved Bryansk - a battle no one knew anything about and at an unknown site!

Good point. T'was the fact they could play as Partisans that made it possible though. If the only option had been Red Army, then I don't think we would have got the numbers.

And bizarrely taking cash five months before the event.

Would be really cool if we could organise an underground game before then... (November and January are clear)
