Well, it's a good idea. But, is it worth waiting a week or two after booking opens though? Otherwise, it might smack a bit of desperation.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Well, it just puts an idea in their heads and forestalls moaners.
Allowing players to spread payments is more desperation I think and less benefit to us.
Heh, maybe it would be worth waiting a couple of weeks to see how booking goes.
It was slow booking for Ariel so I'd be surprised if this were any different. Leave it too long and people really will be thinking of Christmas!
Meh, there is and always has been too many people collecting kit and have no money to play - Gadge and Scaley to name two but many, many more. Always supposedly skint but always frittering cash!
Iirc, it was only the Germans that were slow booking for Ariel. In fact, Gadge and Evo missed the allied booking because they were too slow! (Yet space was still generously found for them).
A couple of weeks after booking opens isn't too bad before posting up the Christmas present idea. It lets us assess demand a bit. After all, it may be fully booked after 2 weeks!
We can start drumming up some more publicity this coming weekend at F&O if Pete59 and Barrie are coming. They both have Red Army kit, so we could get some kit guide pictures. Once I've got my NKVD cap, I'll sort some photos and then Lardy can do his thing. We'll get a lot more Russians once they see it doesn't have to break the bank.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Yes, I have already asked Barrie and Pete to bring their Ruskie stuff for a kit guide shoot. I've asked Lardy too but isn't sure if he can come.
Agree with the above!
Just spoken to Guy - he's up for a site meeting early November.
Sunday 8th is their game day. Or 22nd.
The afternoon would be best for me.
Either of those dates should be ok for me. Technically, they're both my weekend "on" but I'm nowhere near to working full hours yet.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Working on the principle of 'sooner rather than later' the 8th Nov is fine for me.
Do you think it's worth putting press releases out about this to Arnie's and EU Airsoft news etc?
This event could be a good one to draw in non-CiA-ers and we could do with the numbers!

Well I've done it in the past but to little effect.
I think probably those that would be remotely interested are on here anyway and the vaguely interested / noob aren't our sort of clientèle.
I'd much rather make every effort to get everyone we know playing and remove obstacles/reasons for not being able to play. And I'd much rather cancel an event than organise entertainment for those we don't know or booking people just to get the numbers!
That said, it won't do any harm but this is where our players are and it just needs to be 'sold' well (and not end up with another Jedburgh ).
Yes, from what I heard at the weekend, the level of misconception about Jedburgh was enormous. From "it's going to be too hard" to "it'll be boring for the Germans".
Working on the principle of 'sooner rather than later' the 8th Nov is fine for me.
8th Nov - will be there .

Who ever was writting the game plan , can we have it please in the usual format.
Also it's three weeks to go , are we bothering with props pyro etc ?
I've written up the game plan - I need to add the maps and annotations which are at work so I'll post up on Tuesday.
I asked about ordering pyro a while back pointing out VAT was going up 1st Jan. No action AFAIK.
I have floated an idea about other pyro which is in the game plan.
Props will be needed but no construction - signs and maps that I will do, flags to be ordered and maybe some ammo tins bought.
I can order pyro. But we need to decide what we want, obviously. We talked about plenty of thermobarics, do we want any electric dets?
Can't think of when we'd need any electric dets? Except maybe as an "ambush" for the German AFV.
Plenty of uses for thermo's though.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
See what you think when I post up the event plan as I detail it therein.
