Below are all props we already have:

The mortar will be useful at some point as there are good places where it can be used inside. Germans could use it for a counter-assault into entrance to reclaim complex.

Drop barriers would be useful for the German police controlling vehicle movement (we can allow/stop vehicles at the drop of a hat by issuing vehicle movement passes).

Ammo boxes handy as props to be shifted.

Telephone system essential for communications room.

Enigma machine for comms centre - chaps can be tasked to code/decode for real.

Air raid siren for signalling game progress points/major attacks.

Gold/paintings for treasure haul.

Jerry cans as props to be shifted.

Very easy to make with lengths of red cloth. I'm happy to do that, as long as Kerstin's parents don't plan a visit anytime soon.....

My missus is very handy with a sewing machine as well if we want a shedload of flags or signs.

They are certainly the kind of props that I like to invest CiA funds in - i.e. ones that can be reused!

No need for CiA funds, we've got tons of material laying about. Plus, it's dirt cheap on Ebay anyway. She made some really nice red cross flags (which PBI now have) out of scrap material.

Edit - I've also got a detbox, only 1 "channel" but it can set off several charges simultaneously. Happy to let anyone use it and for it to be included on the props list.

With change of circumstances will be unable to build props in any major way for a while . Most of what I had is now in Derby , and what little was left in Honley is er...in Honley .

But you are down for building a Junkers for the underground assembly plant in the January game. Now what are we going to do?

I can see the field police having a role in this - checking troop and vehicle movements at barriers/checkpoints.
I wonder if we could make sure all players have Soldbuchs? If they don't posses their own then I can do a simplified folded card version with their photo in - like we did at Arnhem.

We could issue permits for vehicle movements too.

Keith - Ausweis bitte
Dave B - Here you go mate
Keith - Danke. Ah, see you haf nein permiten to enter ziss sector.
Dave B - Fook.
Aside - John, nip back to control and get us a chitty - this twat won't let us through.
Won't be a moment mate.
* thinks - feckin policemen *
Keith - Danke. I haff my orders you know.

Went to the rag market in Birmingham. They have 1.5m width red fabric for £1 per metre.

Could you get hold of that tunnel map before we go on the 8th Stephen? I'd like to run off a few large scale versions to carry around and double check accuracy as well as game planning.

Remember the map room? I was thinking of doing a big tunnel map stuck on one of those panels so players can tell commanders what is going on and where, something close to a plotting room.

If we get to a full house of 25 + 25 by game date (and it seems likely) that gives us a gross of £2000
Less site fee of £1200 leaves £800 to play with

Some has gone on paypal and something over £200 on telephones.
D10 cable will costs something for sure.

At the meeting yesterday the potential problem of items used as 'stores' and other props distributed around the site will, at endex, have to be recovered. On such a huge site this will be a bit of a ball ache. OK, we can engineer it so that the players do the donkey work for us but even so it is inevitable we leave stuff behind.

Now, I venture to suggest in the light of the cash available that we can consider some stuff disposable. Great if we get it back, no hassle if we don't. So, things like gold, ammo tins, jerry cans, flags are no problem - cheap to lose, cheap to replace.

It might be a nice idea to give the 222 a powerful 'search light' giving another reason to use the 222 - patrolling down avenues stabbing into the darkness, enemy hoping they don't get caught in the beam. Cheap at £20 or less (like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rechargeable-Multi-Purpose-Torch-1-Million-Candle_W0QQitemZ170403424927QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches?hash=item27acd5ea9f) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-MILLION-CANDLE-POWER-12V-SPOTLIGHT-TORCH-SEARCH-LIGHT_W0QQitemZ380163671731QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches?hash=item58838546b3

We will need cylumes for players to indicate they are out of 'play'.

To assist in orientation how about coloured lanterns at the end of each avenue - we only need to identify three out of the four avenues - say 1=white, 2=red, 3=green. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/17-LED-Ultra-Bright-Camping-Lantern-Lamp-Light-2-Mode_W0QQitemZ250512070264QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches?hash=item3a53aed678

Beyond that we need to mark junctions with cards based on a grid coding and loads of German flags for hanging, Russian flags carried by Russians for marking progress/occupancy and possible red cross type flags to make regens (depending on how we decide to work regenning).
