Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
7. Haven't actually got anything apart from my helmet net and ammo sorted but i know where it all is, I put the 'pro' into procrastinating. I know roughly were everything i need is. Been playing World at War to get me in the mood and waching lots of history channel
7.5 already. Batts charged up. Kit piled all over the house.
Getting in wine and food for the pre battle French bbq on friday
Have a good one, everybody. Unfortunately, I'm required to work overnight on Friday - for user test, of all things!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
9 so far half day tomorrow so il should be there about 4 can't wait
Yikes careful Marsha or you'll beat me there and I've got the gate key! I know you're coming from miles away so if you do find yourself there a bit early then I'd recommend having a maccy D up the road. I'll be onsite at 4pm.
Well, have some insect bits and bruises from larping last weekend (froffing, feasting, fightin and quaffing, a great way to waste time) but the back is better than it has ever been since the mishap last year (somewhere between "almost like it was never there" to "I slept crooked last night") so getting ready to rock
To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"
Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.
Resistance is fertile
A good solid 7. Just need to pick up a few bits and bobs tomorrow. Shoes (Daniel Harrison) and I will be arriving on saturday at 8.30-9ish.
Well a good old bit of sweat is a great way to break in your kit, so you'll have no worries there. The woodland canopy is finally in full force and does make a difference yes. There is also a good easterly breeze forecast so that should help on the day. Don't worry about showing yerself up mate, this is a friendly event and everybody has to start somewhere, you're making the effort and joining in, that's a good start. As to the 200 Bb's that is down to you. It is impossible to police so we take your word for it that it's all you're using, the main point is that it stops it being a hosefest. If you're on an AGM MP40, 200 rounds is 4 mags full, that's the best way to think of that.
Hope this helps
Looking forward to it bigtime. The only bummer is I can't make the camping either night unforetunately due to parental responsibities (the wife is out Friday and Saturday night, girlie birthdays) See you guys on Saturday morning.
Dont worry about being 50+, you wont be the only one, Im also 50+, overweight and a smoker. So I leave the running around to the youngsters
If it s hot just remember to take on plenty of fluids
50+, join the gang. Like P of E said let the youngsters do the running about. The main thing with WW2 airsoft as opposed to Open day airsoft is you'll be given orders, and you're expected to follow them. That means that the "slower" members of a section provide support fire while the fitter members do the more physically taxing stuff. Don't worry about it, take it at your own pace. I'm sure you'll throughly enjoy it. See you there.
I will be in the 50+ gang next year Don`t worry you will fit right in and it will be cooler under the trees
Up to a 8.5 now, kit all ready on the living room floor, just a mornings work to do and then I can load the van and head south to kill some Brits, Yanks and Frogs
Same here but i am only going to have a Luger got to give them some chance
Rating has just gone up now I've realized we will be missing the Eurovision song contest!
Don't worry Jimbo, I'll record it for you
