I note that Josh has set the timetable for his events with the March one missing, all at Tuddenham, all at £45, all weekender events.

I can't help but think our event will just get swallowed up in these regular, and rather expensive, events.

My immediate reaction is to steer away from hosting a game at this site in order to offer something different from the 'competition'.

Perhaps better to run a game at IED's Shropshire site?

Thanks

S

Reading through his stuff, its LARP not Airsoft. The players fight against a crew, so it will all be scripted. Those who crew for him that come from an Airsoft background wont be happy that they'll have to stick to a script.

CiA is player Vs player - proper Airsoft.
Gunman is player Vs crew - LARP with guns.

Yes, just wondering what the perception will be of our game slotting in between all these ones though.

BTW Jay, Guy says turn your phone on. ;o)

I see what you mean about the punter's perception HS.
But there are good reasons to go ahead:
a) interesting, period site
b) booked and available for us to use
c) will cost us nowt so gives us the opportunity to get some funds in the coffers without over-charging
d) we will only use the site once and is unlikely we will return for a couple of years, given the pool available to us
f) our games are different, we have an established and trusted 'brand'
g) not to do so might look either snobby or alienating

Not this weekend (London), or next weekend (Dublin) weekend after is scheduled for sorting my shit out as I've not been home for 4 weekends in a row and I have a dance on the Sunday evening.

The 1st or 2nd Dec might be ok.
