Starting to build associated web page now.
Nice, the blue really stands out. For a second I expected a picture of Caine, but it's better without it, plus it would have been utterly illegal copyright-wise!
Can you capitalise the 'H' and 'L' of 'Has Landed' for grammar's sake though!?
S
Grammatically they shouldn't be capitalised!
What is the concensus on event cost?
£30
£35
£65
I think £30 is reasonable. £35 just sound like a lot more for some reason, plus we want to keep the spirit of 'not for profit' going.
As I understand it we're keeping the entire green fee for this in lieu of Josh's money to us from D-Day which means with 40 booked players we'll get £1200 which more than, more than enough!!! (Is Josh missing a trick on this one or what!?)
As it's prop light and we have the use of Josh's props (I assume) anything more that £30 would just seem a bit too much.
S
Agreed £30 is ample . Josh offered us the site for £300, and we turned down £700 worth of DDay funding , so reckon both sides won there !
£30 gets my vote.
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
For a second I expected a picture of Caine...
Bugger Caine, I was going to put Jenny Agutter on it!
Thanks for destroying the work-safe-ness of this website for me!
S
LOL - better
When are you buying the Harley Davidson David ?
Bother - you'll have to explain Guy.
(I was searching to photos of J.A. and was somewhat horrified to find all the nuddy film stills of her - gutted that my mental image has been shattered, had no idea she was a trollop!)
Hmm perhaps a convertable instead .....or maybe a tatoo .
BTW, I'm away this weekend so if you do announce after Friday afternoon can someone please change my sig so it matches all yours.
United front and all that.
Also, I intend to be a Yank for this game.
Ah, I think you might be implying I'm having a mid-life crisis. No! I had that at 40!
Here is the code for sigs when the time comes:

Forum sections now in place (but hidden from punters at the moment).
Couple of grammar blips:
"Spys have forwarded information to German Military Intelligence that the British premier is scheduled to visit a remote airfield in East Anglia. Churchill is known to travel lightly guarded a plan is hatched to do the deed."
and
"Like every Comrades in Arms event his airsoft game has a restricted uniform, weapon and ammunition rules"
Change to:
"Spies have forwarded information to German Military Intelligence that the British premier is scheduled to visit a remote airfield in East Anglia. As Churchill is known to travel lightly guarded a plan is hatched to do the deed."
and
"Like every Comrades in Arms event this airsoft game has (deleted 'a') restricted uniform, weapon and ammunition rules
One other point on the forum posts. You mention that a booking thread will open soon. Is there any reason why we can't start taking bookings immediately?
It's be good to catch and steal on bookings for the other games that are in the pipeline.
Thanks for the typos.
I put that as we haven't agreed a booking date PLUS I want to book 'our' players first.
In other words, we float the game for a few days and get names on the list, ask favoured players by PM to pay up then - blow me down, who'd have believed it - we are nearly booked on the first booking day and riff-raff will get what's left.
Good point, nothing like a bit of elitist nepotism.
It's wrong, it's underhand but we could always say 'Players will be handpicked to remove the moaners, cheaters, iritating, LARPers and kiddies'
Or just do as Basil Fawlty tried to do and put 'No riff-raff' in the ads!
