Axis private section

I have posted up a mission briefing - could you cast your eyes over it then when that's sorted I'll let the troops in!

Briefing now in place for Allies - could you check over Stephen, esp. CO title.
My knowledge of Army structure is totally non existant - I'm badged as 94th but I think you said it should be 2nd Inf stationed there, so I didn't know how to square that one (esp as we will have airborne amongst the ranks!)

I like it.

To get around it we could say that representatives from other regiments in the locale are attending our camp to meet the VIP.

I've been thinking on what pyro we can lay on for the benefit of the Jerries.

In the film the US blow up the truck to deny it as a means of escape. As we will be covering rocket by wire tomorrow I wondered if we could set up a fixed bazooka position and parked up truck, whack a rocket into it followed by a fireball and big smoke discharge. Have a planned muster of Axis at 4pm so everyone is in the right place, blow the truck down the road then they have to head off to the coast on foot and jeep (if they have stolen it) pursued by US, ready for endex at 4.30pm.

Proposal:

The during the first stages of fighting the two m/g positions will be vital to the US to hold back an attack (as most soldiers will not be armed at that point).

Machine gunners can carry a 2500 round load which is great - except that it's blummin expensive to feed.

My proposal is to place 12000 rounds in the ammunition store for machine gunners use (4 x 3,000 round bottles - effectively 2 reloads each).
When the m/gunner is taken out any one else can man the position and take over - only when ammo has run out can a man be sent for a new crate.

The cost to us is around £30 but it does mean a m/g is use with force - I can't recall seeing m/g guns used in that way in any of our games as people always have an eye on the cash disappearing down the barrel. When we used to use the 50cal at Phoenix, heh even the Vickers at PBI training (in both cases any one could use the gun) it was always left unused - you could see people thinking "I'm not filling that damn thing!"

Could work.

We're talking like the first five minutes here right? How long will it take people to get their guns? We'll have foot-people on patrol who will have weapons plus people in the vehicle too.

Hmmm, Jay says he didn't know he was supposed to be getting them but could and would need a budget.

Otherwise, white sheets?

Jay mentioned them a while back - I've no idea of price or indeed if hey are easy to get hold of.

White sheets would be fine...

Yeah, sorry guys. She was up for it, but it's just bad timing so she doesn't feel she can make it.

OK guys. Very good news, Kerstin can make it.

Sorry for the flip-flopping, but the confirmation of a portaloo and heating swung it. It's all to do with the moon phase if you get my drift.

We have a Joanna Grey!

If we can stretch to getting her a little something (which would be nice) I would suggest Cotswold Outdoor vouchers which I can get for her. Say £20? Or is that too much?

Isn't spending the weekend with you enough? If not then I might be persuaded to help out.

ffs - Cotswold Outdoor vouchers! You know how to treat a girl!

We've got some nice grenades she might like?

Meh, whatever, we might be able to squeeze £20 notes from the kitty...

Don't have to get her anything. Just thought Guy's suggestion was a good one. (Of course!)

Sounds like a good idea to me. Especially if she randomly "accidentally" starts talking to them in German.

Just to confuse the hell out of them

Cack, can't find my radios. Can someone chuck a spare in for me for pyro coordination?
