Grenade practice bins - I'm sure we could use something on site. While the US are making themselves busy on the range I thought it would amuse them to do some practice grenade lobbing (free grenades - chaps like bangs!). Oh, forgot you aren't a WW2 computer game player - they always start with a practice section to get chaps used to controls LOL

Swing barriers (2) - Not sure if it's feasible given transportation issues but I mean the red/white striped counter-balanced road barriers to close off the US base - might be useful for future games too.

Bins Still don't know what one looks like - could we mock up with canvas, might be more impressive with the grenades ?

Swing Barriers - yes would be a usefull prop, other than that they are big heavy and hard to transport . They are also normaly set into concrete to stop them falling over . I did make a light road barrier for Churchills ( left on site now sadly gone) . I'll have a think about what can be done in a more permanent way , as we could use them time and again at most games.

I have no idea what the are really like but in the games they are letterbox type concrete structures - but I imagine 'found' stuff on site would do, maybe just circles marked out on the ground...

Just loving the way the CiA machine works at times . Just think "if people cooperated this way at work" how much easier life in general would be ....well apart from David who works alone

Dave, got the dimensions of the square drop containers?

Are you going to need me to do the pub sign? What's the name of the pub?

What sort of budget do you want to allocate to these road barriers?

Looking at round or box steel ones they would be about £50 each in materials , however we could use them again and again , and I could make them disasemble for transport.

If thats too steep , then woods and option but it'll look cack and probably not come in wildy cheaper .

Personally think they'd be worth doing , but understand is £100 is too much for set dressing, hence ask the question first .

Grenade practice bins, did anyone ask Josh about his towers yet ?

Three supply drop containers - Jay (any idea of feasabilty / cost yet?)
Air raid siren - Guy
Pin stripe trousers/cromby coat, homburg hat - optional blue siren suit (overalls) - Stephen, Churchill be be supplied by Josh so need to get sizes
Artist easel/palette - Stephen
Studley village signs - David
US army base sign board convertible to Church sign board - David
Pub sign - Stephen, I'll sort some grab frames tonight for reference
Vicarage sign - David
Stained glass windows - David - I can sort this Jay, I can do back-lit transparencies on the graphics printers, I'll get Josh to size the windows!
Armoury sign - David
Ammunition store sign - David
'Comrades in Arms' vinyl banners (2) - David, externally sourced, cost TBA, reusable for all events
Firing range targets - Jay - either three board backed army targets or something clever but simple; re-settable falling markers
Grenade practice bins - improvise with 'found' items on site, not worth the hassle of taking/constructing
Bandages - collectively plenty, Yith handed over three rolls of CiA funded hession bandages on Sunday
First aid signs - David
Hospital sign - David
Swing barriers (2) - Guy, budget £100 for reusable props seems fine to me

Cool on the drop barriers -consider it done. I'll put "Halt" on them , which will hopefully make them suitable for both sides .

Excellent.

Thinking about it, we would probably only need one for this game but while you are at it and we have the funds and it will be useful for future games - if that's all right with you?

If we have the dimensions for the drop canisters I can get a quote for professionally made alloy or thin steel ones.

My friend works for a metal fabrication company and he said he could quote it within a day and fabricate within a week.

If the price is right they might be a nice prop to use again.

So, dimensions?

Ta

S
