No, I wrote him a long missive (sent as a Word doc!) that contained an outline of game plan, Gunman's involvement, questions about vehicle use as well as Churchill's size!
Josh picked the PM up on yesterday...

We really need to give Josh a hefty nudge if he hasn't got back to you yet Dave. I don't have that much free time over the next month to get out shopping for Churchill's stuff.

Shall I PM him?

Ta

He did, on the 31st January:

"Hi matey, I'm still trying to get hold of the guy that would be perfect for the role! He's fat and smokes cigars, a perfect winston. as soon as I get hold of him and if he say's yes!!! Ill let you know."

I'll chase him up.

He just replied saying he would email the guy again and failing that, go around to his house.

Drop cannisters - Che says it's no problem so what's to do? I liked the idea of fibreglass BTW - very practical...

Well, I haven't got a price yet. It's promised this week. Have to say, my mate's been very slack about it. I emailed him weeks ago.

Get a cost off Che an we can compare.

Fabrication for my ones would take three days.

Being as they're 1.7m long metal could be a bit heavy, did I say 3mm on Saturday? I think I was talking bollocks.

Six feet long and 3mm steel ?????

Me neither. Two weekends ago Josh opened an email from me that contained a run down of the days events with a list of questions that needed answering. No reply

I re-sent it saying I didn't appear to have recieved an answer and drew his attention to the questions - he picked it up over this weekend and still no reply...

Nah, I'm not ringing him - written to him twice. No pyro, no vehicles, no Churchill, no 88's - it will be piss-poor!

Well if we get stuck I'll do Churchill & sort out a uniform / outfit locally . Although spending all day with Rich poncing about in his No 1's might just end my life

EDIT

Actually the more I think about that the more I like it . Stuff the 88's (Josh'll bring em anyway just to show them off) pyro we can get from Tony on the course day, and I could drive the Landy around all day shouting "you naaaassssii bastards" at Kermit all day ...when I'm not doing daubs in the field .

It would leave Kermit on his own with the Krauts , however you'd have Che and Carl to help out .

Food for thought .

It's funny I was going to suggest this if I hadn't heard from him by Wednesday.

It does make more sense really.

I was asking him permision to use the pyos we wanted - not for him to supply them - critical difference.
This is why I wanted a reply to everything in writing - there are no come-backs on phone calls.,...
