...There is no need to rush this one.

Beg to differ! For the reasons I outlined - we can move our game but I want to get publicity rolling straight after D-Day.

Give Justin/Jamie/Gucci a ring for gawd sake!

Off topic, Major must be out of hospital? Hope so, the op was last week!

Okay... I contacted Major and he told be to chat to Jamie directly.

I only have him on ASCUK right now... but we've chatted before on there recently.

So a PM has been sent explaining all!

Okay... just talked to Jamie and our game is now booked for the 23rd March. This is ideal for us as its just one day before the actual events... :)

BTW, F&O have a nam day planned for the 16th March.

Rightyhoo, thanks for squaring that up. That's the Easter bank holiday weekend you have booked.

So, do we go for February then?

Well, if we go for Feb, then the following time-of-year punch-ups are applicable (only listing Yanks Vs Germans here)

1: The U.S. First Army takes Remscheid, 20 miles to the East of Düsseldorf. The U.S. Seventh Army reaches Moder and Siegfried Line.

2: The U.S. Third Army launches a new offensive into Germany, having pierced the Siegfried Line on a 11-mile front.

3: The US Ninth Army begins an offensive from its bridgeheads on the Roer river leading to the bloody battle of the Hürtgen Forest.

4: The US Ninth Army achieves a breakthrough near Erkelenz 30 miles to the West of Cologne, but loses 100 tanks in the process.

I'm not greatly fussed whether timings are accurate, though by good fortune that's great. It would be very nice to follow on from D-Day though and roll through across Europe and make the next one just a bit further inland.

True. If we're doing D-Day in November, it would be logical to do the Normandy breakout in Febuary!

Right-ho. While there is four weeks between 2nd and 30th it would still seem at first glance 'too' close together, both falling within the month. So we either pull back to Feb if that's possible or push into April. Would be nice to go earlier rather than later.

I would have thought Feb would be fine... pretty much any date in it.

BTW We're considering a Training day for PBI sometime in Jan... maybe...
