The Last Stand-Oosterbeek September 1944
This scenario is a combination of real events mixed in with a “What if†situation. 1st Airbourne Div has been pushed into a thumb shaped perimeter with their backs to the Rhine. Operation Berlin is in the planning to make a night time river crossing to save what troops they can . Late afternoon 25th September The 9 th SS Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen", also known as SS-Panzergrenadier-Division along with mixed elements of different Heer Kampfgruppen have made a push for the Rhine and have successfully broken through the outer perimeter of Cooks Clerks and wounded. Major-General Roy Urquhart caught in the pocket has no choice to either Stand and fight or surrender! Retreat to Oosterbeek and hold at all costs until relieved by an American Task Force.
