Pricing
£360 per 8 man team / £45 per person.
£35 per extra player over the initial 8 man team up to a total of 12
£10 per day pass. (non participants)
THE PRIZE - The first 8Man UK Airsoft Tournament Cup.
The winning team will be taking home the 2008 UK 8 Man CUP and loads of other goodies. There will be special prizes for 2nd and 3rd place teams and all participants will get fabric badges for taking part.
OTHER PRIZES TO BE ANNOUNCED!
A team can be any size, however only 8 men can take the field per mission and all must be in the same camouflage clothing. The tournament is capped at16 teams.
All participant prices include camping.
Game rules
Every team will Attack and Defend 1 woodland and 1 building mission on Saturday and repeated Sunday.
Each mission will be a 30 minutes and have objectives to complete.
Scoring the mission
If all three objectives are completed in:
Under 20 Mins Excellent = 3
Under 30 Mins Good = 1
Missions not completed will = 0
Each attacker will have 8 lives and re-spawn from a Red vested team Marshal, when all 8 lives are taken; the player leaves the field and is considered out of the mission. Each attacker will wear a red armband and be numbered.
Defenders have 2 lives per section and re-spawn from a Blue vested team marshal. When both lives are taken; the player leaves the field and waits at the next objective. As soon as the current objective is reached the defenders are released back into the game with 2 lives. At objective 3, when both lives are taken they are considered out of the mission. Each attacker will wear a Blue armband and be numbered.
Defending teams will be made up of 4 player marshals and 4 mixed team players to keep the defending as unbiased as possible!
The event will also feature The Merc fully licensed bar and catering on site from the Friday night and a host of other entertainments.
Schedule
Booked Teams.
Once you've book your team on and GMA has received your payment and booking forms, your team will be given access to the 8-Man forum and be able to upload your teams profile. Here, other teams and spectators will be able to see whom their up against and who they want to support.
Marshalled Teams.
In 8-man, to remove the element of cheating you will be shooting against 4 teams made up from trained marshals. These marshals have been booked from all over the country, from many different sites. The teams are the Hawks and the Bears in the Woodland arena and Sharks and Lions in the urban arena. As the marshals are confirmed we will upload their profiles and the marshal team they will be in.
What else will be on site?
A Market traders square will be set up for all your Airsoft needs. Companies from all over the country will be invited to trade for a free pitch and in return offer a 10% discounts on all their goods and more. The market will be open to competition participants and those with day passes, so come on down for the day and see what bargains you can pick up from a great mixture of traders. THE FORUM! A marquee will be set up for other sites to promote themselves and put themselves forward to Host 8 MAN 2008. A number of speakers will be invited to come down and open discussions about Airsoft and the hobby in general. Here you will get a chance to meet the people who run the sites and discover the wonderful verity of different styles of experience that are out there.
ECO friendly Airsoft.
For every 4+-seated car that has 4+ people sat in it, GUNMAN will offer a £2.50 per person reward! It's not much but it's a start.
Live music Saturday night and entertainment every night of the event.
SKIRMISH
There will be 2 fully marshalled Skirmishing arenas set up separate from the main ones for teams to pitch their skills against each other. This is not part of the competition but a great way to sharpen your spears and lock horns with the enemy!

It might be just me but I think this would be a real laugh to turn up to in WW2 gear packing bolt actions and lo-caps. We'd look really cool and get trounced.

I'll sort registering later in the day but it will put off casual viewers i reckon.
I uses photobucket to host pics for forums, find it quite friendly for a very untechnical bloke like me.

Remove it immediatley or you will be banned, and your children will be banned, and your children's children will be banned etc and we may send out hunter dogs, and spec ops mecenaries

Awesome weekend and the snow just made it better. Two fingers up at all the knobs that said it wouldn't work. Everyone that took part really did lift the level of game play to the competitive level it needed to be. Honesty was beyond anything I've seen before and inter team camaraderie was on top form too.
