Hi All
Stubblehopper is putting together a training day following the great success of the last Axis day and has kindly asked if any Allies would like to be involved too.
This will be at a site in S. Yorks or in the Midlands sometime in August. Costs have yet to be confirmed as this will depend on numbers.
This will be excellent preparation for the next CiA game day which will be announced very soon.

I'm definitely up for it, however I'm busy between 19th-24th August, if it's outside those dates I'll be there without fail.

i feel it fair to warn you all, we only need you as targets 
i got really hurt being a target, and we feel its better for the germans if we shoot targets wearing the right uniform 
on a serious note, the last traing day was brilliant, and even as an ex soldier i learned new things and "blew out the cobwebs" of my old training
also , its informal, friendly and above all fun.
ITS NOT A SKIRMISH/BLATATHON
though their was plenty of opertunity for target shooting last time
seroius aspects of training, in a not so serious group of like minded players
a great day, i reccomend it to all, axis allied even resistance.
its also great for "poseing" photos , that you never have time to do "in a game"
(think , prisoner photos ,standing over a dead wounded enemy, patrols , relaxing, and all other kinds of picture that dont come from game days)
just think you could acctually have of photo of the allies with a german prisoner even though it would be posed.
(unlike herr steiner , who was filmed captureing two paras IN COMBAT)
and people tend to be more than happy to pose,

I think I will defect for the next one the German morale seemed higher at Churchill's, especially as only 6 allies where left for the final assault on Sunday against a full field of Germans, if its late August I should be able to get up there, Early August I am on holl,

Steve... thats not what we need. What we need is more Germans defecting to the Allies and bringing that morale with them and people like you to persevere with us!
If allies defect the other way it'll only produce a downward spiral and before you know it the whole thing will collapse and we'll have no WW2 events!
Now you don't want that do you?

If you'd been on the German side at CR we'd have had 5 players on Sunday morning instead of 6. We need people with the staying power you exhibited then.

allies do have the numbers, but i think the summer ( yeah right) is hard, as lots of people away on hols, and if there not they have to cover workmates who are.
june/july game, great , ONLY the lousey weather let it down, the planning and time of year was right, just a fooked up weather system.
hiopefully autum will be good weather.

At the moment I've got all of August free so count me in.
Still need to firm a few things up a bit on this, I'll post site details and timings ect shortly, but looks like the S.Yorkshire site is our best option. Hope to get at least two squads of allied troops for this one. Just a brief heads up, we're hoping to quickly burn through patrols and ambushes, in the morning to bring you up to speed, allow you to spring a full ambush on us, casualties will fall when hit and play dead.
Then do some FIBUA and DIBUA training, in the afternoon we'll practice what we've learned and bring it all together in a ding dong shoot out where both sides will get the opportunity to assault and defend alternately, with bags of supporting fire, smoke and grenades. We'll need lots of smoke and grenades for this one, five or more of each per man for an intense period of action using proper tactics in hotly contested house to house fighting. So, get your names down and lets see you at the training day, cos' FIBUA is the best fun you can have with your clothes on (Herrrm, so I've been told).

Seriously though, this sounds great. Once we have a date and costs I suggest that those interested book on and stick to it. I'll defect if people drop out again!
Count me in, and if you ask me nicely I will wear my KD's and pith helmet and do a rendition of "A pretty gal is like a song". But no one else will volanteer 
, above all we need gloria to turn up.
Joking aside, I will be up for it, but not sure what side i will be on for, it depends what uniform is ready and the weather.
Hopefully you should be able to count me in too let me know when its time to start the jerry baiting
Just as a bit of a teaser, we're hoping to organise some simulated motar strikes on the buildings before any attacks go in
We're on holiday 11 - 18 August, otherwise pencil us in.
