Gadge has suggested another combined TD to be held in January at the "First and Only" site, this would take the form of a bit of a social evening the night before, followed by tactics training the next day interspersed with battle exercises and a game in the late afternoon practicing what we've learned, hopefully we can get our favourite Fallschirmjager Major to put on a pyro display for us again, but this time at night.

We're going to switch to German ww2 infantry tactics for this one, as the lessons will be held seperately. Gadge has suggested frontal assaults, flanking attacks and a night time patrol to take out an enemy MG position would be nice this time (its dark at 4 o'clock that time of year), We also need a hand picked four man recce team for this one. I know Heide would also like to get some sniper work done as well, so we may have to split into two seperate axis cadres and set up a firing range where we can all have a try on pistols, grenades, smg's, rifles and laffettte mounted MG42's. If you're interested in coming along please let us know, as we'd like to get a couple of sections together.

Thanks

Chris

Can i clairfy that this is still purely in its planning stages no fixed date has been set.

My plan is to train the PBI memebers (so its Brit kit only i'm afraid) up as a squad AM with some combined exercises vs The Germans PM.

Numbers will be very limited and kit will have to be accurate as we're looking more to a re-enacment battle feel than a simple run-around (well on the PBI side at least).

What Stubblehopper has in mind for German training its nto fair for me to say but allied training will be genuine wwii section drills and tactics with a chance to use them later on!

Got to say I think the guys using German kit are already quite accurate with their impressions, I'd be happy if we can get two complete sections one Wehrmacht and one SS fully kitted out and ready to go. What we can do is try and make any deficiencies up with spare gear that I'll be bringing along anyway, but it would be nice if all the SS guys tried to go for type 2 smocks which is what most of us have anyway, for uniformity, but having said that I've got some spares, which can be loaned out.

Yeah Chris... you're probably right...

The Brits do have a way to go... but we'll get there...

Our BDs and weapons are generally a lot more difficult and expensive to get than what the Germans have, which is why we need to do this sort of thing...

I've always been a shopper to be honest...

Just not normally in town centres...

I'm sitting here surrounded by the collections from all my prebvious hobbies...

Its a scary amount of stuff.

For example, if roleplaying books for shoes then I'd be giving Imelda Marcos a run for her money!

I've sold 20 already, got 70ish for sale on Amazon and have hardly scraped the collection...

oohhhh!! It's not just me then !!

If I sat down, and added up all I've spent , I would probably fall off the chair,.... and wonder ... where the hell did I get all the money from ??

I don't seem to recall robbing any banks !!
