Nothing to stop you taking your new found band of merry men aka doughboys to this I guess if agreed (by those arranging it) and doing some "team building exercises" how to chew gum, doughnut eating, how to really make your own bigmac etc etc
Helga... I'm not sure Gadge will agree to that. The original idea was that we want to use this to put forward our brit group... don't want to muddy the waters with Yanks as well!

F & O is big enough for everyone, am sure sure you could find a lil corner where they can set up a catering section they could do dinner maybes ?? hot dogs, doughnuts and a bucket of juice all served with a smile and a well practised "have a good day y'all" ?

Seriously though, I'm sure it could be tackled, no doubt we'll have an influx of axis players for this and probs two squads (if not more) so the potential to training against the Allies (or indeed Yanks and Brits) could be arranged at seperate sides of F & O could have Brits vs Axis near Trench, the Yanks vs Axis tother side of the side in the woodland. fun for everyone then and noone feeling left out 
and even Diggah asked very nicely am sure the Yanks would let him join in their fun for the day as a Ruski, though they'd have to watch their backs
Space isn't the problem Helga... The problem is that some players are in both the US and UK groups and we want to get all the Brits together... not have some go off with the yanks!

Its not an 'allied' training day i'm afraid and not a CIA event.
The purpose is to get the PBI section working as a team, there's zero point in training guys to do british drills as a set role in a section if they wont be at a PBI game cos they only play americans.
I asked Stubblehopper if he wanted to do one on the same day for germans.
Until the end of the day and the final exercise its unlilkely our lads will see the other side as all the training will be 'in the field'.
The idea is to have a 'final exercise' of British Airborne versue Waffen SS using authentic kit and tactics. This is to demonstrate direct and flanking attacks and patrol skills
Having US there is just going to make it end up as a all allies versus all axis thing and not really what we want on this day

On a serious note it did cross my mind to mail you and ask if we could bring some Yanks along, however as you said it's a PBI thing, so not on for us to impose. Also a few people are wanting to do both so not fair to make people choose. We'll hopefully look to do a similar thing in the future, but this is the PBI day so we'll make the Big Macs at home on this weekend

Part of the reason for doing PBI is to have some more credible single nation actions.
Besides i cant teach you 1940s US army drills and tactics cos i dont know them, i do know UK drills though, I also wouldnt have time to teach both if i did know them.

I dont think us Doughboys are going to go that much into depth as to learn the army drills, but more over just playing together.
It will also be nice to have more bolt actions present, I know a few of the Brits have Enfields and a fair few of us Jerries have K98's, so fire and manoevure should be possible for once. No disrespect to any Americans but it's bloody hard to attack a load of guys armed with thompsons (not to mention it's not very realistic).

Give it time and home made jobs and now Warren's Garand conversion kit and you'll start to see more rifles amongst the Americans too.
It's nice to see a lot of interest in this, and no one should be left out, there's options for you as I'll explain in a moment, but the whole idea of this TD, as Gadge and Yith have already explained, is to get the Brits to train and gel together as a team, plus the Germans need to move onto ww2 tactics rather than the modern stuff we've been teaching, which we had to use last time, as we had three different National groups represented, and even then we had to cut a lot of things out to get what we finally covered done in one day. So, the lesson plans are going to be seperate rather than conbined like the last one.
If anyone feels left out, Webby and co, we have got a whole pile of spare German gear that you can loan, or preferably, get some British BD's, a smock and a red beret, plus a set a 37 pat webbing, its cheap as chips on ebay and this is still 3 months away. So, there's plenty of time for you to get some British gear together, there'll be plenty of us cabbage chewing "Krauts" for you to shoot at, and we'll get Major and Sy to put on another terrific mortar barrarge before the attacks go in, it would be great to see a larger cohesive British unit, which is what we need. Plus we can always do something like this later in the year, which will be exclusively for the Yanks.

Unfortunately theres little chance i'll have any form of British kit by January and respect the fact this training day is a PBI event, though if an enemy force is needed I think i'll be ready in terms of SS kit (plus i've not got the opportunity to use my existing stuff).
I'll have stella also - though travelling would be the main issue for me.
I'd like to come along to this Gadge.
If the Germans want to put an attack in on a Brit surport weapon that can be done, the vickers is up and running and looking for people to shoot.
