Your most generic uniform is the wool trousers and M41 jacket as worn by all regular GIs (in almost all theatres as well)... For that No2 trousers are actually a pretty good stand in.

With HBTs, USMC and Rangers actually wear different types.

At the moment with limited Jap players about I think that a USMC loadout will get minimal usage. And I suspect when we do get a far east game it may actually not have USMC in it as doing something like Burma actually allows for greater variety of uniforms. But no USMC!

(plus the Rangers only wore them for like a week, admittedly it was the best week or somat).

However, no they don't look much like them in any of your categories - unless I am looking at the wrong pictures... I might be... What do I know about Barrack trousers. :?

Using a film as a guide is never a good idea... Hollywood always makes mistakes... even in the best ones.

If you want cheap and generic, I've said it once and I'll say it just once more time... Brit No2s as stand-ins for wool trousers and an M41 repro jacket.

To be honest mate as a person who has recently started in ww2 airsoft you'd be better getting the correct trousers from the get go and save yourself money in the long term, I was in 2 minds about my kit and decided just to buy the correct woollens for the loadout I was trying to recreate, and think they look all the better for it

The army HBT trousers are on £29.99 from soldier of fortune ( and the're not the cheapest)
Shop around and I'm sure you'll get some hbt in your budget range

Check out Platton in Bury on 0161 764 5195

They are helpful and I've found there American stuff to be good and a lot cheaper than some

Hope this helps
