It seems to have appeared first in NW Europe in any numbers between the Bulge and Varsity.
'Transitional' stuff, OD9 edged with OD7 usually, was seen around before D-Day 06/06.
They were making the stuff before then but it seems to have taken a while to filter down to the troops.
You can find OD7 stuff with '43 dates but it's not easy to find it in use before the end of '44.
Some vets said they preferred the green stuff, better camo and 'it was the new stuff', kids like new stuff.

useable throughout the conflict, just not correct . Seriously I know I don't have a problem, and suspect no one else has a problem with OD7 webbing being used.
