I know it's been posted up before, but this time I'm looking for pictures of exactly what went into the doughboy, and how. Pictures of real kit would be best, so I can get a feel of how to do it - looked at the diagram that webby put up before, but it's greek to me.

Cheers, Steve. Can't get that at work, but then I don't bring my webbing to work to pack.

A question: every doughboy I see on the internet has one clip hanging down to attach to the ring in the connecting strap of the Garand belt - mine has two! Why? Shit repro?

Not quite sure which bit you're talking about. Do you mean from the shoulder straps or where the belt connects to the back at your back?

The bottom clip which connects to the belt at the back, not the shoulder straps.

Its a canvas loop which comes down from the centre of the back. Mine didnt even have 1, I had to butcher up my orange 1 to be able to have it, I dont think it matters having 2 fella, or cut 1 off whichever

The M1910 Haversack has a single strap to connect at the belt at the back.

The M1928 has two.

Both were issued during WW2
