I want to make a late war 82nd Airborne load out before i go for the more expensive British Airborne loadout.
But Airborne kit as we know is expensive but i was wandering what you could use as a substitute at a lower cost, i have found these US M65 Field Jackets they look quite similar to the later period Airborne Jakets (the green ones) i was wandering if these would be acceptable, as well as using US lightweight trousers.

if they would work as airborne uniforms the other thing is where do i get US webbing from, Jump Boots and an Airborne Helmet.

If your after boots, just ordered some brown leather dutch army ones for my german para impression, have a look at the post " fallschirmjager boots???" theres a web address there for the store, only 15 euros + postage

M65 field jackets have zippers instead of buttons.

You can get repro M43 jackets (OG jackets) for about

Yea but on both jakets the buttons are not visible so it shouldnt matter ? the only real difference is the M65 has a hood but this can be removed so it wont be visible.

Not sure, but I think Flibble still has an unreinforced M42 jumpsuit that I sold him ages ago. It's a nice one.

Rick, waar bent u?

This is the Dutch Nato Jacket it does look quite close to the US jackets and acording to a post above it is based on US combats.

Mmm, not really. Pockets are very different, although I could be counting stitches there.

I have an original, used, M43 which I don't use as it's way too fragile and a Norwegian jacket which is almost identical.
