I just picked this up from fleabay. It`s a ww2 US camo coverall.
Too good a condition to be original so I`ve been looking at the repros available but it doesn`t tally up with any of them except in the camo.
It has epaulettes, two top flap pockets, two flap pockets on front of thighs, one flap pocket on side of left leg at about knee height, one pocket on side of right leg which is just a sleeve to maybe hold a knife and sheath as there is a poppered loop which is probably there to keep the handle secure, and one right rear flap pocket. The front is closed by poppers and not a zip, and the cuffs are closed by poppers. It`s made from a canvas type material, not HBT, and has no labels in place.
It seems very well made. Just wondering if anyone could identify it or who the manufacturer is. :good:

Looking at camopedia, it (to my eyes) most closely resembles the one described as "Colombia also produced a copy of the pattern from the 1970s through to the 1990s."

Might explain why it appears too new?

Cheers bud, that`s a cracking link. I did wonder if it was duck hunter instead, so I posted over on the Nam airsoft forum at the same time just in case.
The Columbian pattern is a bit off unfortunately, the edges of the splotches are a bit too wibbly, if that makes sense. The splotches on mine are quite uniform and curved, The third Mexican pic looks close colour wise, but the closest regarding the shapes of the splotches is the first Indonesian pic. The splotches are almost the same and of similar colours, although mine seem to be a mirror image ie: reversed. Thanks for your help. :good:

That camo was used by more than the US army.
It was very popular post war and today with hunters.
The print does look a little different to the wartime version in some details.
What you have might not be military in origin.
You can still walk into Walmart and buy this camo.

Cheers for the info Poacher, I never realised it was so easily available. I think my curiosity has got the better of me as the overalls haven`t got a label in or any remnants of one. The most curious features are the epaulettes and the knife sleeve on the right leg.
