Tan or OD3 will see you good from first war to end of WW2, no problems. The green OD7 shade started to be made in '43 but wasn't issued much until back end of '44.
Not that you don't see odd bits even in June '44, you just don't see much.
There was 'transitional' webbing, Od3 with bits of OD7, that was very common around D-Day especially on the new folding shovel covers and mussette bags.

Yes, one, OD3, is a tan or pale yellow khaki colour, like british 37 pattern raw webbing.
OD7 is a deep rich green like british 58 pattern.
