WW2 Paramarine uniform help?
Hi, I'm about to gather up a Paramarine loadout, I own a reproduction P-42 jacket, an old M1 Helmet and a pair of Corcoran Jump boots, now here's my question, did the Paramarines wear Corcoran Jump boots? Would it be historical accurate if I wear them?
I can also get my hand on an authentic rain poncho.
I'm pretty sure Paramarines had boots without the toecap, but as I don't think anyone is making repro Paramarine boots at present, I can't see anyone complaining about you wearing Corcorans.
Edit: There's a couple of good photos of them in this thread: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ ... -airborne/
They did not wear Corcorans, and sadly there are no repros of the Paramarine boots available.
Putting together a Paramarine impression can get expensive. Repros of the correct Jacket & Tousers are not cheap...
You can use boondockers and all the regular USMC gear of course if you base your impression on the time after their disbandment when they were
absorbed into the regular Marine Divisions. But without mixing in some Paramarine specific items like the trousers or jacket it will look like any
other late war USMC impression.
Here is a little bit about their helmets:

If you're looking for an ETO impression where you can wear your Corcorans, there are other options than paratrooper. For example 2nd Rangers or FSSF....
If you do decide to go Airborne though, you've got to try this at some point:
This is the group in the video: http://www.wwiiadt.org/
In that case the WWII ADT is definitely the way to go. I was there in January, but I believe that some members of the WW2 Yanks reenacting group in Denmark may be attending Jump School with them in 2013.

i looked in to Paramarine kit a few years back, but as WW2 airsoft is getting more accurate for games and correct uniform requirements I diddnt bother as there will be no Paramarine games, I havent even worn my Sgt Stone USMC Uniform from " Pacific" for the same reason,,,,,,No Japs Be a nice loadout, though as the Paramarines had some varied weapons too
