I'm new to WW2 airsoft and in the process of getting a 9th SS loadout together. I'm going to start playing at my local site in the new year and hope to get to the training day at Tuddenham at the end of February. I'm interested in learning the german squad level tactics and I thought I'd have a trawl round to find any info on spoken german commands, which I guess some of you use in game. I found an excellent post by Tom aka "Sani" on Panzergrenadier.net which has a lot of commonly used commands and at the end of the post is a downloadable sound file.

He must have been pretty hoarse by the time he'd finished recording it but it's great stuff if you're interested in learning a bit of german. I thought I'd have a go at learning some of it to add to the immersion in the game when I finally get round to playing a proper WW2 one.
Nice. There are a couple of typos in there - HTML doesn't seem to like umlaut u's so just ignores them. I'd also avoid the use of Klar in the field, as it does have exactly the same double meaning as Clear in English, i.e. understood, or area clear.
As for insults, an interesting fact is that there are no sexual swear words in German. It's all to do with poo, wee and animals. Calling a German "wanker" has the same impact as calling a Brit "scratcher" (or something). They just don't get it.
There is I recall a German phrase, scuze spelling but went something like "Wixer pisser besser wisser" translates to "wankers pissers and know it alls!" As for the rest of the bluer German phrazes I suggest you check out some of the 80's german porn films, there was lots of swearing in them

I've heard "mieser Pisser, Besserwisser" (rotten pisser know-it-all) but not that one.
Learn German with porn, omg...
But I guess for some guys this would be the way, they would learn "the main voabulars" in record time...
That would be ace, Julius.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
At last weekends Levisham re-enactment gig there was a guy from KSK who was born in Germany(his dad was in the RAF) He spoke perfect German, even with the accent. It brought something totally different to the event. in the past we had guys who know a little German but to hear someone calling in an artilery strike and giving co-ordinates all in German was fantastic. If you can learn a couple of phrases i would recommend doing so. It just sounds so much better when you shout out in German rather than English.
