FFS, I totally understand that some folk come into this with zero knowledge and or common sense but you'd expect them to learn.

I PMd Oddball just to see what the situation is and got this reply:
I can not prove anything other than the gun never got to me.
I asked him for a tracking number or name of post office it was sent from and time etc.I suspect he got a better offer after he agreed to sell it to me but this is just my guess.
He told me he lost the post office receipt and he sent it first class post.

He was quick to offer me my money back rather than question as to if I could be trusted that I didn't have it, if you know what I mean.

Can i just add i feel we need to be cautious about how we respond to folk.
We're a small scene and simply wont survive any massive divides.
While we may have personal issues with individuals or business's i dont think its too clever to publicly slate any one (or make asides or insinuations to that effect) on a publically viewed forum.
We need all the allies we can get and while i wouldn't expect anyone to endorse a product a person they dont believe in we do equally need to be fair and impartial about others when speaking as moderators.
Individually one or more of us have issues with the following Paul Monaf/AI, Gunman, soldier of fortune, Mainstream Re-enactment, Dog Company, ASCUK, Arnies, Big UK, Spiers etc etc
But does 'CiA' have an issue with them.
As pointed out to me some time ago when i was asked to leave the organising team, folk read a post form a mod or orgnaiser as 'the word' amd see it as the opinion of all.
Now since I've left I've seen some pretty caustic comments made to players and organisations far in excess of anything i might have said a year or too ago.
Putting it bluntly i dont think we should be telling folk to 'fuck off' publicly.

I don't think we have either . I spent a lot of time swapping nice emails with him , giving advice , explaining the scene, since then he's still acting a cock . No public falling out needed , just delete his user account. 
Lets face it , if he booked into one of our games or one of PBIs I suspect he would be refunded .
Regarding all the PMs flying back and forth.....
There have been a number of occasions when I've had to suck through my teeth before reading on, so there are a number of posts from Old 'Un that have been pretty close to the mark and some that have been pretty eyebrow raising! Admittedly they are usually pretty close to my feelings but I try to be more diplomatic in my handling.
I see the CiA four to be a bit like this:
Dave: Voice of reason and accepting to the point of not being firm enough
Me: Can see both sides of the argument and rarely feel the need to interject, but will if I strongly about something. (Dog Coy being one)
Guy: Has strong feelings about many things and voices them pretty often, sometimes to the exasperation of Dave, and sometimes to the amusement of me.
Kermit: Has the most extreme opinions about things, but either is too busy to be bothered about it, or just can't be arsed to post.
The others may feel differently about that!
In the end it all balances out, we do talk about things behind the scenes though.
