[Sticky] Text speak and unintelligible posts

Time to get a grip on the increasing babble posted on this forum - regular forum users don't like it and I don't think we do either. So, perpetrators get a warning from a mod with boilerplate text and can be done in this manner: Click on User Name to get to their Profile page. In the top right panel 'User Statistics' you will see in white 'Warn User' Click this and copy and paste the boilerplate text (this is for ease - no reason why you can't amend on a case by case basis) and make sure the 'Notify user about warning' box is ticked and click Submit. Obviously we don't need to go overboard about this and tolerance is a wonderful thing, so I propose that two moderators only have the task to lessen the likelihood of double warning or persecution! And I'm going to suggest Yith and Headshot for this role. And so for the boilerplate - here is a suggestion: Please note that the Comrades in Arms forum expects registered users to post responsibly and thoughtfully. This forum is read by people all over the world and has a high reputation which we would like to maintain. Text speak, over-abbreviated words, capitalised text and unpunctuated text is not only very hard to read it is impossible for search engines to make use of. Therefore, respecting of your fellow forum users, I am pointing out that your posts have crossed the threshold of acceptability and ask that from now on you take care to make sure your posts are more carefully typed.

I reprimanded 'Guy' for bumping his For Sale post after one day (and despite it being at the top of the list anyway :slap: )
He apologised saying he was desperate to sell the stuff. Yeah right, so he is more important taht all the other forum sellers. Silly man.

BTW, Yith deleted it but 'Guy' posted up something to the effect of 'God, I'm 55 but you lot are boring old farts' and Pete Dunn said something like '55? I thought you were 16!' which was mint. Hey ho, perhaps he is getting the message.

Feel free to delete his posts that add nothing to a thread but just bump up his post count.
