er ok...

Just looks a bit weird, what was wrong with one start per year?

I mean i'm not overly fussed either way but i personally dislike post count and 'scoring' 'dating' accounts as it tends to encourage a certain type to post utter bollocks constantly to reach the next 'posting level'

Similarly length of time on board and stars might unfortunately be mistaken for wisdom/experience.

Just a personal opinion that though.

Always had post count and joined date right from the start - just a graphical expression instead!
And we have had scoring ranks too!
Length of time on the board and number of stars IS a good indication for wisdom/experience (as far as anyone on this board is wise or experienced!) and might stop the fecking noobs passing 'helpful' useless information to those who know better... (which it won't of course).

Posting utter bollocks is a feature of this forum anyway...

I respectful disagree, i offer to you my considered opinion in the form of three words...

I rest my case :)

It holds as a rule of thumb and of course there are exceptions! Still, as my levity seems lost on you I'll leave it at that...

Steady on boys ....I tend to agree with Gadge on this one . Post count or length of time served is not really relevant to anything on a forum . People shouldn't look at somesones post count and thing " oh no better not mess with them" . In a democracy we are all equal ish ?

PS for the record I don't particularily like all the "campaing medal" nonsense either , but them in a live and let live world I guess other's dislike my blinging cufftittle and associated nonsense.

PPS Did like thegame thing though , reckon that was a very good addition !

As I said, we have had post count and length of time with the avatars right from the beginning of time - no change there!

And who said this is a democracy?

I like the campaign medal stuff. Cos I have lots... but also because it encourages people to come to games and shows who actually do go to games!

Concur. On that note you will have seen I have moved sections around. WW2 event information comes before Sales and Kit related sections. The priority is to get punters to events. It's true that much forum traffic goes to Sales and Allied/Axis sections so this move will be a slight inconvenience by having to scroll down. So be it. They might even take a look at what events are cracking off first!

I've also give the Blaggers their own 16th SS section - it was very difficult to find a reason not to without appearing discriminatory.
I have given him rules about conduct, you all have mod rights...

The 16th SS Forum section has you set as the moderator - you can edit, delete, split and merge posts. The normal forum Moderators, Global Moderators and Admin all also have moderation rights.
Please use this forum section thoughtfully. It is visible by the whole world and is indexed by Google and other search engines. If it's used as just a chat room, or neglected or used to carp at any person or group I won't have any hesitation in closing it down. I'm sure that won't happen but I've taken the risk of being patronising just so it's clear from the start!
