The Comrades in Arms team are delighted to announced their 2nd anniversary game to be held at First and Only's Bolton woodland site on the 14th December 2008.
'Unternehmen Herstnebel' (Operation Autumn Mist) will be revisiting our very first game - the German offensive dubbed by the Americans as the Battle of the Ardennes but known to everyone as the Battle of the Bulge.
Bolton is an exciting and interesting woodland site well suited for the battle and just at the right time of year of course!
Full details will be posted in the coming days with regard to numbers, booking, catering, accommodation etc. so please, no need to ask, all information will be provided.
Oh, and there will be a nice surprise for card-carrying Comrades in Arms members as a thank you for your support this past couple of years.

Can't wait! Here was me thinking the next game was in November! Time to get some winter kit I think.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
To avoid any confusion. The November game we informed our members about was unfortunately shelved as plans didn't come together in time. We hope this makes up for any disappointment.

Most definitely! Gives us all more time to get more kit!

Sounds great, doubt i can travel that far for only a days game tho if it were 24hrs then yea but i bet it would be way to cold for that.
I'll be making it 'official' later on today as part of building up information - but this might be of interest DT: there will be camping on site available on Saturday evening and if you want to make a full weekend of it you are welcome to join in the open day game on Saturday. BTW, December ain't mega cold as a rule (that's not to say it will be tropical of course...) Heh, I remember the winter of '66, those were the days when we had proper winters in the UK!

You can definately put me down for this! I feel the need to get myself some winter gear although I think I'll hold off on painting my helmet white just yet.
Can we assume this superseeds the F&O game since it would be daft for them to run 2 ww2 games on the same day at their own sites?
I was born in Nov 66!
will def want to camp over. its a bloody long way in a jeep with no heater and a trailer!!

I'm sure F&O are 'franchised' per site? I'm sure 'The Major' mentioned something like that at Beltring.
