Can we assume this superseeds the F&O game since it would be daft for them to run 2 ww2 games on the same day at their own sites?

You'd think so wouldn't you... but no apparently it doesn't

I'm sure F&O are 'franchised' per site? I'm sure 'The Major' mentioned something like that at Beltring.

Indeed, and we'll leave it all for F&O to discuss as we're now confirmed for Bolton.

Shame it's not a November game, i'm going to be off shooting lions in Kenya* for most of december.

I'll think of you all on the 14th though, when i'm lying on a beach, with a lovely alcoholic drink in hand, and you're all freezing your arses off in a damp wood somewhere oop north. :lol: 8)

* With a camera, obviously

My missus has threatened to send me home if i mention any of the following while we're there:

Our 'colourful' colonial past.
ww2 desert warfare
asking staff if i can hire a kalashnikov and 'go native'
taking my own machete.

:lol:

It's a private, all-inclusive resort thing, which apparently has an awful lot of Germans there, so i'm taking Beevor's 'Stalingrad' and 'Berlin' as beach reading. :D

I was thinking of starting off as far away as possible from the german's sun beds, then gradually getting closer each day...

Hi

It would be my very first game with CiA, so am looking forward to it very much , i have an outfit of the 2nd Rangers so hope that will fit in with you all .

All the very best if some of you that have been in for a while would like to get in touch please do, i have done reenacting when it very first started back in the early 80's and was an original member of the 1st infantry division with the Battle Reenactment Association they were great times, wonder if anyone remembers them .

All the very best .

Terry Rees
