I was told about this by the lads a few days ago but wanted to wait til I'd seen it in print before mentioning it.

But... Poor Bloody Infantry has been voted 'Best WWII Airsoft Group' in the WWIIRe-Enactors Magazine awards!

I'm incredibly proud of the lads and I didnt actually even know we'd been entered until some one rang me with the news (for those who don't know me, I'm an organiser of the group but I'm taking a few months off for health reasons).

Personally I see this as good for all airsoft as the Re-nactment community is accepting out passtime as a valid element of the WWII re-enactment scene and as folk like PD have predicted - the barriers are coming down!

It means a hell of a lot to me having been with PBI from the start and I just like to say a big thanks to PBI members for being there and representing the group and a bigger thank you to those that supported us and decided to honour us with the acolade.

Well done chaps.

(i'd have posted this in 'news' but couldnt so thought it best here)

Note: the cynics among you might say 'hang on, doesnt Gadge write for them?' Yep I do but i can ssure you I didnt have anything to do with this and the judges were all well known and impartial members of the Reenacting community. Alongside the good news of CiA winning AI's WWII award this is a great start to this year for WWII airsoft!
