I just found this WW2 Airsoft video it's quite good, but maybe you have all seen it.

In terms of the paint I think most of you think leave well alone so I tend to agree, Ste if you want a German one you will have to build it, but it did look good as a captured.

Yes you see I was wrong you can sit on the engine cover without it denting, but then I have lost a lot of weight making this.

Hey maybe a keep fit video is in order "Tank Building to Reduce your Waistline"

I am just in the process of giving the tow hitch a 2" drop and have also found the wiring has never been connected

That reserve tank is 2 chip shop cooking oil can soldered together I think they are just about right.

Just to clarify my decision to build this.

It was said to me that for the money I have spent on this I could have bought a Stalwart.
Yes quite true a stalwart with
Length 6.35 m (20 ft 10 in)
Width 2.62 m (8 ft 7 in)
Height 3.12 m (10 ft 3 in)
Wheelbase 3.05 m (10 ft)
Crane 3.04 tonnes (max)
Engine Rolls Royce B81 6.5 litre petrol

How much would it cost to drive this on a 180 mile round trip?
So to save money I would have to put it on a low loader and hire a truck to pull it and a man to drive it!

Other options a Ferret
Weight 3.7 t
Length 3.7 m (12 ft 2 in)
Width 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in)
Height 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in)
Crew 2 (commander, driver)
Engine Rolls Royce B60 6-cylinder petrol
130 hp (97 kW)

Again cost of diving it on a 180 mile round trip, so low loader etc etc.
Advantage of both stalwart and Ferret MOT and probably TAX exemption and well built very strong.

However my tank does not require and MOT or TAX and it is only going to have BB's fired at it.
For the other 2 vehicles I would have to have my driveway re-built to take the weight and as for a stalwart I haven't got the room and it just not a tank (may as well buy an old bus and paint it green).

My Tank
Length 3m
Height 1.55m
Width 1.45m
Weight under 1000 kg
Engine 500cc V-twin Kohler
Crew 2 maybe 3 at a push.

Aside from all this I like building things like this its fun!

Doesn't matter one dot to me why you choose to build what you did and not something else, your money, time, blood sweat and tears went into it and I think it looks fab and am pretty sure you're happy with it ;)
