the heart of a good gun is good air seal , so good piston and piston head lubed with silicone oil not thick silicone grease , the element three pack of lube is excellent value (from airsoft world or rsov ) , then a good hop rubber , i like guarder or TM hop rubbers ,an H nub for the hop also works wonders , after fitting these parts re check the fps and see where you are with accuracy , remember it's a support weapon so super accurate is not the way to go , you want a spread of fire or cone of fire to suppress the enemy not a pinpoint accurate sniper weapon , i know it's against the grain to sacrifice accuracy but it's the way to go , my bren has a cheap as chips Vanares barrel and it is usually referred to as "that bloody bren " so getting super accuracy is as not important as range,good hop will give the range .

I don't mind it not being massively accurate, so long as it's got a half-decent range...
Also, any recommendations on piston and piston head? I'm not really sure what ones are good and not so good, or what will fit OK in the BAR?

Redwolf uk are selling Systema and Hurricane stuff at a reduced price. Look for AK upgrades, FYI the BAR uses a M240B tappet plate and if any kit comes with a tappet plate it won't be compatable.
