Heh, one day I'll get my merry band down south for some WW2 action, then you'll understand why I'm called c*nt a lot.
Usually precedded by 'lucky', 'sneaky' or 'utter'.
LOL! Sounds good as I'm guessing you'd be playing on the Axis side.

Dunno how I missed this post!! But I'm a bit AC/DC, I play on both sides depending on my mood.
I hope the previous post to this one clears up a few questions too.
Sorry, forgot to say; it will be available (in approx. 4 to 5 weeks) as is at the same price as the painted version. It WILL have the M95 spring (can't get M90's at the mo) fitted because I handed them personally to AGM yesterday. The front (steel) handguard will have a steel-wooled finish because they are having to scrub the paint back off Everything else is original bare metal with no laquer or anything else, so it will be a painless process to blue/paint/anodise or whatever you wish to do with them
Oh, the stocks are American Oak, whatever that is......waiting for a good oiling
Cheers
Steve M
We're not the heartless lying bandits that you seem to think we are Baggypants, we honestly do our best under the circumstances that get chucked on our desks on a daily basis.
I'm not going to argue with you, but you continued to advertise these rifles at the 350fps specification long after it was obvious to all, yourselves included, that they were well into the 400s. That was deceit, no two ways about it. You just said yourself that you knew you were getting the standard production models. To then want us to pay an extra £25 to get them to the advertised muzzle velocity or buy a spring to do it ourselves was ridiculous. Anyway, you still got my cash because the nice bloke who ordered ours didn't cancel mine, but he sold it on instead and recouped my costs, so no biggy. You live and learn
Deceit? No, sorry but you are once again jumping to conclusions based on your own opinion and I must say that your manner and accusations are both slanderous and unfounded. We still believed that our shipment was being downgraded to the spec we requested and had no way of knowing otherwise until they were delivered. As soon as we knew, it was posted on the web site.
Why do you think that nobody else deals direct with the Chinese factories? Because it is a nightmare! Even buying from Chinese agents is difficult beyond belief, which is why most other retail outlets who don't buy wholesale from us import from RSOV and suchlike. As also mentioned previously on this thread, it is generally accepted that Chinese airsoft products are very rarely 100%. Anyone seeking perfection or 'what they want' at no extra cost should not buy Chinese AEG's. There are almost always problems with a totally new model because China do not have great quality control nor do they conduct effective pre-release reliability tests.
Cybergun were one of the hardest hit by Chinese contract culture when they actually paid for the metal moulds for the Thompson M1A1 (with trademarks) for exclusive rights on it. They coughed up around £70K for the setup charges and were rewarded by CYMA selling them to the domestic market. That included HK, need I say more? Cybergun are a multi million pound French company, own the worldwide trademark rights for Thompson airsoft products and had a written contract through their own Chinese lawyers. It was all a waste of time, money and effort and all they could do (which worked) was threaten to cancel all their future business with them.
We ALWAYS write a contract into our orders, stating price, quantities, delivery dates, FPS, RoHs compliance and any other modifications or conditions we require. If they turn up with any of these agreed terms breached, there is almost nothing we can do about it. It's partially my fault for not learning Chinese to earn more respect from them I suppose, but I'm sorry, I will not accept being accused of deceit.
The slight advantage we did get as an 'apology' from AGM was that they offered to make the unpainted MP44's for us at no extra cost. Believe it or not, it's a pain to pull out 80 guns from the normal production line as the parts are all made in different metal processing factories, so they have to run around all of them asking them to put aside 80 pieces and pack them separately from the bulk goods, and so on.....
Serves them right I say
Steve M
I have to deal with Singapore, Sri Lhnaka and Nigeria, I thought they were bad
China*shudder*
Thanks for the update.
Well Steve, thank you very much for the full and frank account of dealing with the Chinese - very interesting reading and gives us an insight into the problems you have trying to provide us with the products we want.
Bugger, I want one of the unpainted MP44's as well now.
Heh, just so you know - AirsoftWorld are very welcome to use this forum to keep the WW2 community up to date with your ventures. I can't help but think had we known about the shenanigans over the MP44 as things progressed them the entire community would have been 'on side' and supportive. As it was all we had were rumours thrown in with supposition and guesswork! Still, not too late to make amends - you now tell us you have commissioned a Sten and PPsh-41. More info please!
Body/stock pin sorted.
Drill small hole through it, then use an R split pin to secure.cheap as chips too.
Unsure what an R split pin is ?...its the type of pin shaped like a capitol R,
the one i have used was the pin used to secure the body of a radio control car to its chassis.
anyone need any of those i have hundreds, small ones about 10-12 mm long.
Thank you David, we will do our best to keep everyone informed on these fabby forums from now on
The new batches of the MP44's have 'R'-(ish) split pins on them, including the plain metal/wood ones we have ordered.
Nigeria must be great fun! I'll leave them to you my friend
Steve M
PS: The VIVA Arms Sten MKII is being shipped to my local agent on Monday for our approval. When we spoke with them a couple of days ago, they would not entertain us taking any photos, never mind samples! A few more phone calls and emails has now convinced their paranoia otherwise and I'll get a more detailed report to you next week when it arrives. I'm off to Taiwan on Tuesday morning for 4 days and the wee beastie should be waiting in China for when I get back, just before my return flight to the UK.
Thanks Steve EATG for all your info and hard work to get these guns made, I do think it has a been great effort on your part and I can understand the bad communication you would get from the makers in terms of spring types.
If they know they can sell more to the American market with the higher spring power they will make them all to that standard and save money on having to sets of specs. Why would they tell you they are sending you a high power model and risk a cancellation of an order?
Anyway lets drop any discussion on the spring power problem like many things in life we will resolve the problem, and at least they got through customs
I can assure you thousands of people will be overjoyed to here of the PPSH and Sten to come.
Got mine also - awesome bit of kit! Very heavy and solid

Nothing more to add that others haven't said. Oh, it's chrono'ing 520 - 550fps (0.2g) out of the box
![]()
Bloody Hell CW can you use that in the garden for pruning the trees and privets?
Free speech is expensive these days!
Heh, I'm SO tempted to leave it as it is - huge fun (but then I'm not on the receiving end)!
Oh well, gun is in bits now awaiting spring swap this weekend sometime - in the meantime I've stripped the orange stock varnish and done something much nicer...
Deceit? No, sorry but you are once again jumping to conclusions based on your own opinion and I must say that your manner and accusations are both slanderous and unfounded.
I'm not going to argue with you
And it would be libel if it were untrue, as it is the written word. Slander is spoken
550 out of the box ????? phhaaarrrrr a fannys gun
i personaly dont mind getting hit by 550 fps
, as long as the "CIA GOLDEN RULE " (ie, dont be a cock) is being used
if im 5 meteres away, a round or SHORT burst would be fine,
a 550 fps gun at an open day skirmish is different, but most CIA players seem sensible enough, not to "be a cock" with a slightly warm gun
"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"
Joseph Porta to "strawberrys and cream", in the sven hassel book ,ogpu prison
You got one too Oddball ???
you coming over to the good side now ??
Tired ?? come and i will put you too sleep BANG BANG

I do tend to agree with you mostly on this certainly up to a bit over 400 anyway, but I think in general we need to be shown to tow the legal line at least here on the forum
I would not mind getting hit in the chest or legs with 550 fps from 15 ft but it's the accidental blast in the teeth that's the problem
However 550fps is great for plinking at stuff at all sorts of ranges.

As CW has said before he swings both ways
So many of us have followed his lead, it also shows that we don’t have a political agenda if you have mostly German kit and some allied to balance the books.
I have been to a game as German before but most of my stuff is US and always will be I would think.
as I don't have the room to start making a tiger tank!
Free speech is expensive these days!
Ahhh, We have a few swingers in our mists
Sod that 500+ fps aeg stuff, I still dont trust people with that power out of an aeg.
Tired ?? come and i will put you too sleep BANG BANG

Especially with a 500 odd round hicap attached to it.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
* Sighs, knocks power down to 499fps to keep Ernie happy *
Hehe, I do wonder what a game in the US must be like - I assume everyone will have a full face mask.
Still, let's be safe and legal on this side of the water chaps, please don't be surprised if there is some discrete chrono'ing of MP44s at CiA games, just to be sure no one 'forgot' to downgrade...

I'd go one further and have an MP44 mag pre-loaded with .2g's at the chrono as well, just in case anyone is using heavier ammo to get below the limit. I've seen this happen countless times at other sites and would be very upset if a CiA player were to try the same thing and then shoot at me (or anyone else!) with it!
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Hi, just to chip in with the FPS discussion.
Personally, I would like to play without the need for a mask so a 500fps gun at 5m is not my cup of tea! Especially if it is then fully automatic.
Thinking back to the embeded BBs requiring hospital treatment last year - and that was single shot from at least a reasonable range, can you imagine the damage to soft tissue and face parts a burst would do? Try firing a burst at tree branches and you can see the repeated hit damage that can be done!
The MP44 was a lower power cartridge I understand, a bit more than a pistol so the range should be a little better than stens and MP40s but on a par with Thompsons to keep things fair.
That lets the bolt actions up to 500fps but with a safety engagement distance (I think 20m is too short if it is a face shot but fine for a body shot).
What are we setting as the max fps for these after downgrade? Is it 330fps or 350fps?

Thanks for the info on the Mp44 development Enemy, very informative. I look forward to hearing more on the MG42 & Ppsh41. Although as much as I want to see a Ppsh as I'm just about to start making one I kind of hope it won't be out too soon or I could get upset.
I think 500fps AEGs, as fun as they might be, is a little on the warm side for my liking. An accidental 500fps shot to the face close up with a single shot I can forgive, a full auto burst could make me a little upset. Personally I'd say AEGs running at around 350 tops is fine, the only increase I would agree with is for support weapons to enhance their firepower.
