Help... in the space of 24 hours, RSOV have sold out of the ACM shot gun mags I need for my Garand project. They also don't carry the shot gun shells any more.

Can anyone point me elsewhere or I'll be using a nasty hi-cap for Haggard :(

I think 2ndbat on the US WW2 airsoft forums bought them all! I know he has ordered 80 of them. Have you tried Airsoft Scotland? They are pretty big on ACM guns.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Action Hobbies only have the M47 mags. I don't think these fit. B*gger, b*gger, b*gger!

to everybody,
just a few more lines my friend uberwaller has just finished converting both type's off ACM shottie mags for AEG (TM) M1 GARAND acm 003&003a mag you get between 10 low and max 16rds from these rsov just got these back in stock.
all what are mistakenly called 47rd shotgun mags these also can be jobbed to fit with the ''greenstuff'' modelers plastic compond by making tab on rear of mag like on the m14 mag and by shaping locking tab on front off the mag
they give low 12-14 rds max 20rds from each mag
not ideal but action hobbies do have these in stock
just collected 20 for converting.

liam

I'll post some progress pictures when I make the next batch (of 20 lol!)
it's easy as long as you have a junior hacksaw, blu-tack, flat/triangular needle file and patience.

liam bought 12, only when they arrived did he realise he had purchased 12 packs of 2 mags, now I have just 24 to convert!
tip, to get a majority of the bb's out, use a marker pen to ink up the ridge either side of the feed spout inside the m14 magwell. offer the mag up to the magwell whilst the ink is still wet to mark the 1st mag.
now stop up the outlet of the mag with blutack.
use a hacksaw to cut off the mag feed tube flush with top of mag and then use a file to cut a notch into the top of mag either side of outlet. this will make for a better fit between mag and magwell feed tube.
then notch the rear and front of the mag with a hacksaw.
use games-workshop "greenstuff" or kneadanite (trade name) 2 part epoxy putty to build a mag release lug on the back of the mag to match the one found on an m14 mag.
for the other type of acm mag which is shorter in length but deeper, you will need to do the above but with additional modelling putty mods.
put some putty on the front of the mag and offer it up to the magwell to mark it with the existing sprung front locating lug. remove and tidy up the putty with a sculpting/wax carving tool.
once the putty has dried you can then build up a rear mag release lug with yet more greenstuff.
this is a load of work but well worth the time and effort, the mags will fit snugly, feed well and release more easily when you need them to. the lugs will prevent them dropping out during play- some thing that just scoring them with a dremmel/hacksaw dodge will allow.

mag feed mods, note the spout has been cut off flush and the mag notched to fit flush in magwell.

forgot to say- don't forget to remove the blue-tack from the mag! I put it in to stop plastic swarfe and filings getting in the mag and jamming the bb's or transferring and fouling your gun barrel.
