Been talking to 2ndBatt on the US boards. He recommends padding out the magwell as this is easier and more reliable than scratch mods on 20 odd mags.
Has anyone tried either lopping the top from an M14 hi-cap or hacking the ACM shotgun itself to mag a flush fitting magwell?

the 50 mags that I have modified are all reliable, they feed well, dont drop out and are easy to release using the existing mag catch. all pretty easy to do with minimum cost, tools and a little patience.
building up a mag catch lug out of epoxy putty would still be required even if the magwell itself were modified to accept the acm mags.
"Major Bernard Himmler, does the name mean anything to you?"
I have a supplier who can get them for around $90 for 25 if anyone is interested...that rounds out to about to about $3.60 a mag. If anyone is interested, PM me.
Just modded 20 - only difference is that I found some model makers stuff that looks like a long, thin rectangle. Chopped it into 1cm chunks, bonded them onto the backs of the mags and... I'll let you know how they shoot!
Now I need to work out how to add something that will make them easier to get out of an AZR conversion - deeper mag well than the original M14 body.
