Very very tempting.... I wonder how hard would it be to convert the mag to a curved one.

Modify an AK midcap to fit in a RS mag.

thats an easy enough thing to do , just have to hope the magazine receiver is the same shape for a bren mag.

Any idea on the quality of this AEG?
I was looking at this earlier.
It'd look like a ZB26 with a curved magazine. Maybe the prototype that led to the Bren?
There are several other differences from the Bren.
If a regular Bar10 can pass as substitute for a Mosin / Mauser / SMLE / Springfield, then I'm sure a ZB26 with a modded mag can pass as a Bren...?
The main visual differences are in the shape of the mag and the barrel. No idea about the mag, but the barrel can be very easily modded.

There's also the gas system under the barrel, the lower receiver, the bipod, etc.
Enfield ordered ZB28 from Brno. Brno sent a ZB30. This is what was evaluated and used for development of the BREN. Brno continued developments themselves but after the invasion these weapons were only used by Axis forces.
Thinking about a converison to a Bren you start off with the back half being pretty close. The front will still need to be made from scratch. It will need converted magazines to look like a Bren and getting reliable top feeding magazines will be an engineering challenge.

a saw a real steel conversion on "son's of gun's" recently , the conversion was from early bren mag to the later version the army used with the change in calibre and the thing they found was that the early mags were tapered and the later straight mag's were not , this could be the same as it has a straight mag it might be non tapered as well .
