Just took it outside for a test fire, Its amazing, the semi did fix itself and fires perfectly, great ROF, brilliand accuracy, the target was gone after 1 60rnd mag, amazing gun even my mum had a go she's quite a crackshot lol. the pistol grip does make a slight creaking noise when i pick it up but thats probably nothing to worry about as long as it works.

dont hammer it

they do have a "lifespan" its offically 40,000 rounds

but ive had some break after 1,000

and my new broomhandle "broke" a seal after 12 rounds out of the box (fixed now)

my ak took 3 games to trash the gears, but i was using 15,000 plus per game (i was new  )

my g3 had 3 previous owners , it was stock, and i put 30,000 + through b4 it broke.

with the new gun its easy to keep "test fireing" but try to limit it as its all wear and tear

make sure you tighten up the grub screw on the top of the barrel... if its loose then the barrel can break off!

I'd recommend using some threadlock to hold it in.

The M1A1 is a great gun but short on range as standard fit a M100 spring and a few other parts decent barrel etc and you can transform it.
But all round its twice as good as a AGM MP40.

I probably wont do much to it as im new to all this so I dont know what im doing, and in my expsperiences if you fiddle with things they break, so il probably leave it as stock.

The only things the the mp40 lacks are a reliable hi cap ( without making one), with the low caps you will soon be out of ammo, I can get diffrent amounts of bbs into each mag ranging form 33 to 50, the mini batts don't last too long, some people say they last all day but mine don't, I need at lest 2 1400mah batts for a day, & 3rd is the hop & barrel, even if if fires straight the barrel is crap, take it out & put a bb in, look down it & see how much light you can see around it, its my guess its around 6.10mm internal bore, I have replaced my barrel & modded the hop & it compares now on range to a upgraded thompson, but to be on a par with the brits I will prob use my thompson

All i want to do now is go to a game and try it out, i have noticed that over longer ranges the BB's flew up over the target, i have checked the hop and it's on normal as it says in the instructions, so why are they flying up ? my garden isn't particularly windy.

With the hop backed right off they should drop, my guess is its not all the way off, or a defective hop unit or rubber,

Its hard to say exactly what it is but I aint seen one that fires up with the hop backed off fully, it sounds like its over adjusted if anything,

Good lord, four pages of posts, you own the best AEG there is and you are still looking for things to go wrong!

Your hop isn't adjusted right - you can't do it properly in your garden (unless it's buck. house) so sort it when you get to a site and can shoot at long range. (there isn't a 'normal' setting - it's either set correctly or it isn't and can only be done by trial and error shooting at maximum range.

No problemo. Need to take your time at hop setting, move it tiny bits at a time, fire, adjust, fire, adjust. Start with it at the 'off' setting then start creeping it forward. When BB's start flying up at the end of range then start move it back, bit by bit.

Get yourself to a game! Where in the country are you?

Why not try and hook up with the KGB guys - they come in from all over the SW as I recall, someone may be able to swing by and pick you up.
