Don't know if anyone's already seen this, but it's a new one to me.

G18C internals by the look of it, so TM clone, in different clothes.

Bound to be too wide (because of the internals), but looks quite good other than that...

...obviously AEP power is to be expected (220fps), but at least it'll still work in the Ardennes...

...and could be ideal for The Dirty Dozen (no gas, 30 round mag').

Got one on order, I'll report further in due course...

You know it doesn't look too wide.

This could be one to watch... I had a Marui G18C and it was not very powerful, but was a good reliable side arm.

Concur - loved my AEP 18c so much I had a couple of the huge long mags as well (and the tac light whose bigger battery took over from the tiddler). While I have a bunch of gas pistols I have never been confident that, when the chips are down, they will perform ('cos the usually didn't - I'd find a spec of dust had stopped the action or that a mag had mysteriously discharged itself in the game despite holding it's charge for months in between games  ). When I come to whip out a gas pistol and pull the trigger its almost always an "Oh shit" moment for me. Never so for the AEP - hot or cold, dry and dusty, it just works. Sure, you don't get a slide whacking backwards and forwards and it ain't as powerful but meh, I favour infallibility every time!

Heh, yes but interestingly my Marui 1911 has been probably the most reliable gas gun I've ever had, lol.

I agree, so is mine - but it's relative, my AEP Glock is the most reliable pistol I've ever owned.

ive also got a glock 18 aep, and apart from the crap chinese battery dying after 2 mags or 2 hours pluged in whichever is the sooner.

but the pistol itself is brilliant, good range, (but it takes a while for the bb to get there) a good backup gun, but just too modern looking for ww2 airsoft.

I can only echo what has been said i had a TM Glock 18c and it never skipped a beat. On full auto it would do about 200 rounds (100 rd extended mags) before the bat dies out. Probs would replace the crappy chinese batt tho straight away as there alwasy naff! And also just on a side note the only reason I sold it was to fund some WW2 stuff but I have never seen any "spares" for these kicking around except for on forums where they are already broken. Although saying that you can also buy the nineball upgrade set but things like gears etc your looking for a donor gun.

And also have to agree with Yith my TM 1911 has never skipped a beat and i have always used Green Gas or propane. Coming up to its 5 year mark now though so am expecting something to fail soon....

So metal or plastic?
Most AEP's I have seen are mostly plastic but this has a painted metal look if you ask me.

EDIT Plastic now I look agin

Good news for Cyma Glock owners, this 1911 takes the same magazine.
Action Hobbys have the pistol in stock if you dont want to wait for an import.

That's definitely wider. Look at the face of the slide around the barrel bushing.

Looks like it uses the same mag as the G18C, too. I might be tempted as a very cold weather backup.

Though I see KJW has a CO2 M1911A1 now - has a thick mag "bumper", but looks good otherwise.

Oh, and <raises hand> as a satisfied TM M1911A1 owner.

That's true, but it's (at least from the photo's) done very well, so as Yith says, it doesn't "look" too wide...

...even though we know it must be.

I too have a TM G18C AEP, and it's had a lot of use, because as others have said, it just works, reliably.

Hence my interest in this one, the reliability of the AEP (and yes, we all know the down sides) but in the "clothes" that suit WWI, WWII, Korea, VN, but to name a few.

Anyway, 'til it arrives it's all so much guesswork, so I'll leave it for now.

Expect ,more news: when it arrives; when it's first used.

Regarding the width, this bit from the AH website 8)

The only downside to this EAP is the fact to compensate for the gearbox, Cyma have made the gun significantly wider than a standard 1911 airsoft pistol (40mm at the widest part see picture) this could cause a problem with some holsters.

If anyone picks one of these up, can they do a review? I could do with a sidearm for cold war/cold weather and this fits the bill.

I use my TM. Keep the mag in a pocket until needed. The denison "inside" pocket is ideal.

Yeah, but i'm not prepared to buy yet another temperamental gas gun, especially at TM prices. I've got a S&W M10, which is the best gas gun i've ever owned, and works brilliantly, but i'd like an AEP for those occasions when it's inappropriate.
