Got bored looking at my old AK so I had a tinker with it, still gotta make up the bipod, front sight and top cover which will house the battery. I`m hoping to use a C mag with some corrugations added around the outside. Waiting for the Mrs to use up her bottle of Ajax so I can nick the cap for a flash hider

Mmm.... I seem to have lost the plot with this one, the top cover looks pants and I`ve realised its too small to house a battery. Still got loads of work to do but having a rethink in the meantime

Nice work Slick.
I was considering doing a similar conversion to a JG Dragunov. The ammunition feed is going to be a problem since it would need to be fed in from the left hand side.

I was gonna use one of these critters with corrugations around the outside to give the impression of the twin mg34 drums 8)

i thought the mg34 did use the twin drum but needed a special top cover to do so.

I've been working on an MG but yours looks far better than mine !! :pompom: :)

These were listed as MG34 accessories but I believe are MG15 mags .....

Assumedly they are inter-changeable .... ??

What make/model is the mag that you pictured - all the airsoft drum mags that I could find were the 'wrong way' up, ie had the weight/ammo hanging below the receiver (as opposed to alongside or above it), as below ....

Looks great Slick. Could you not mill a slot out of the stock to fit your battery in? Obviously you wouldnt want to muck it up as your carving on the stock is awesome!

The mag is a chinese c mag for an ak and It`ll be underslung, I`ll probably have to drill out the stock to take a battery. I`m still tinkering with it, unfortunately this isn`t going to be that accurate as I just wanted something to do with my old ak :D

It certainly has. I was thinking about doing the same and rapping a belt of nato link around the mag/reciever/topcover. Still not be that acurate but it disquises the mag

Bit more done, not a lot though, Action Hobbys have the mags on order so no joy in that direction yet. If someone could give me the measurements of a large battery (something like a 3300) I`d be grateful as I`ve still gotta bore out the stock to fit one. :)
