Looks like they'll be locaps to fit the battery too.

So to carry enough rounds for a skirmish you'll need about 6-8 mags with batteries. Priceiest mags ever!!!!

I imagine with it being an Ares it'll be more expensive than a deact M3 (£250 for a recent spec) so maybe not a good choice for a collectors piece as they've probably had to re-jigger some stuff around to make it work.

There's no pleasing some people, is there? Finally, an aeg M3, and you all pick fault with it! No wonder manufacturers don't bring out many WW2 guns! It's still much more practical than a Hudson gbb. It may not be perfect but, at least it's another WW2 aeg guys, even though it's got limited use for ETO games.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I have used my hudson grease gun at the Mall (in reading) and at UCAP (in portsmouth.) as my only gun all day. I have 4 mags in total for it. I had a 6.02 tight barrel, the improved recoil springs, and its MEAN  on propane. Only .2's will run nice in it though and the gun does take a lot of lube, and breaking in. The sear being my biggest problem as if this isnt adjusted / filed you can keep firing even when you have taken your finger off the trigger.

If you are putting against an AEG (like an m14) in a woodland skirmish then i admit its out of its league, but for me its like getting a bolt action kill from a mile away. Except for its 350 FPS and full auto :happyclap: :happydance:

Finally the M3, let's bash it in the ground :)
The way I see it, better this then nothing. And again another one on the list of WWII airsoft replicas.
Another proof the manufacturers are starting to see the light.

actually a very quick after thought this could be made skirmishable very easy. Depending on the setups of the internals. You could easily rewire this so it had a battery sling, but the big question is are the mags used as Mag and battery or just as a battery holder?

Well that's the main goal of about any manufacturer.
Just saying I rather see one of these instead of yet another M4 variant...

i bet its only the battery in the mag and an internal hoppa ,just no way anybody would put both in the mag shell.whitch is good in a bad sort of way .but a great looking gun ,im a bit of a succer for the basick utility type mass production for survival's sake type gun ,its the american sten if you like.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

They should have fitted a lipo in the rear under the back sight like a Sten.

Nice gun though, I have been thinking about making one in steel but wont bother now.

Nice looking gun, the battery idea is a bit odd but if its a lo/mid cap then just carry a speedloader. Be a bit of a twat if the gun wiring runs all the way through the mag so you have to thread it through each time the mag is removed, so I`m presuming the mag will have some kind of electrical contacts on top which connect with similar contacts inside the magwell on the gun.
Would`ve been a bit more practical to have a circular plug with bayonet fitting on the rear end of the receiver through which a battery could be inserted. Not sure on the diameter of a grease gun receiver but you might`ve even been able to get a mini battery in there.
Whilst the arrival of any new model of WW2 gun on the scene is good news, I find it a bit depressing that the manufacturers don`t take a bit more care and thought with their designs as regards practicality.

Bother, oddball. It'll probably be more practical for skirmishing.

That design is a reminder that some airsoft gun manufacturers still see the WW2 market as one for collectors, and not skirmishers :(

Frustrating.

Yes I would put a lipo in the back of the receiver and use a M1A1 Thompson mag.
I have just been trying to get a plastic one to copy the general feel of the thing rather than just go of pictures and plans.
