if your interesed ill bring it along for a peek for anybody wants a look-see,but with so,little time left and so mutch to do.if by some miricle i can get it fireing i would need a team mate to be acurate and i wont want to use it all the time so with a big maybe on it being ready i would need volunteers.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

That's an advantage of bringing young blood into the ww2 scene, a bottle of coke and a packet of Haribos and they'll run around like loony's for hours. For the teenagers replace coke with red bull, wind them up and off they go!
Even if it isn't firing I think you'll find there's a lot of people who would want a look. We could even display it to the public and re-enactors to show the high standard of work that can go into building an airsoft Bren. I know a lot of people that would be very interested! Dont worry it would be fenced off and not allowed to be touched!
I think you should show it off to the max fella :good:

How are you mating the upper and lower receiver? Are they going to slide together like the real thing? I'm guessing probably not judging by the way you've assembled the rear of the receiver...

im not even going to try to do a mimic strip down .basically the lower part of the reciever and by that i mean the part that the pistol grip ataches to will house the bottom of the gearbox aqnd will drop out the bottom ,the magazine reciever lip is removable as is the part that would be the barrel release assembly ,the outer barrel is also removeable but unfortunatly is going to leave the inner barrel in place so a realistick barrel swap will be inpracticle ,once the barrel is removed the bipod can be removed by rotating it 90 degrees.the stock is removed as per normal.the battery will be a stick type inserted into the forward part of the lower reciever under the barrel .

finished the barrell lock assembly and finished mounting the barrel, fitted the inner barrel and hop unit.then it was time to chuck the gearbox in for its first test fireing .all went as good as id hoped for,now all thats left is the lower gearbox mounting pistol grip assembly.

the black tape wont be a perminent solution to gearbox fitting but helps for testing and measureing.

no not finished but its not impossible that it might be finished enough to be servicable by friday, though how well it fires is yet to be seen and there will be no time for finess or a second mag

hee hee ha ha giggle giggle, ahem .. excuse me ,just been wandering round the garden test fireing it ,felt a bit like arnie, well ish

still not finished and i know the housing above the pistol grip is too big but thats where the gearbox mounts,it was always going to be the big design compromuise, but it is all mounted and solid just got to fit the selector and some details like the lower part of the reciever where the battery fits but its all easy chop and weld and no need for high levels of accuracy.
