hi guys I have to start this post saying da I dont live in the UK and here in my country dosent exist any law reguling airsoft only the ones posted in our forum were they say pistols and smgs should be around 260 to 390fps for cqb tipe of games and rifles "m16, ak47, m14..." around 350 to 420 fps and sniper weapons 400 to 590 fps so Im in a dificult position cuz my k98 is around 520fps whit propane agains "SYSTEMA TRAINING WEAPON SISTEM THE FERRARI OF AEGS!!!" or all the upgraded classic army upgraded aegs tha people ownes here. :ghey: its like they whant to move and shot waching tv eating chips to you in the skirmish field just very lazy people I have to say

In skirmish Im shooting at distances about 30m to 40 meters to have a clear shot and make them say they are dead (cuz if they feel the hit and dont see them selves un a diventage position where they are aimed they keep playing) (people here are kind of inmortal) and they hate when they are "hunted" and "sniped" so I have to shot and run cuz they start to spray&pray to the direction were the shot camed thats lame and then I have to run like 100m and when I see Im out of sight take an other position.

heres the thing I whant to increase my effective firing range for that I ask how strong is the tanaka k98, it could take co2?
Im planing for that using this: Mad Bull Portable Adjustable CO2 Charger (XC03)

http://www.madbullairsoft.com/English/i ... ucts_id=53

it could work?

like allways I beg pardon for the poor of my english, KERMIT! ur da man hahaha I hope you post in here and say something usefull like you allways do. for every tanaka k98 owner thanks for posting and helping me whit this.

PD: Im unknow bristish law about upgrading airsoft guns and posting about this subject is not my intention to get any buddy in trouble modarators feel free to do what you think propper about this post and Im sorry for it

No problem with the post Waffman, you have outlined your position clearly. I'm don't think I'd enjoy a day at one of your games though!

You cant use the madbull system sucessfully. when the CO2 comes out of the regulator it is not on liquid form, this means that the pressure in your magazine will drop after the first shot. That system is only good for grenades. You have to use a external system.

i use a HPA rig.

It can be ajustet form 100m/s - 220m/s with 0,2g
I play in denmark so i use 160m/s with 0,43g bullit. Its the top limmet here. :-)

I have 1 magazine convertet for HPA and one normal magazine. But i dont use the normal mag. Once you have tryed HPA you don't want to go back to gas. ;D

The bottle can be hitten in a gas mask canister on your back. (See the picture below)

I use the same system when i play with my MP44. Its nice to be able to plug your kar98 in if you want to play with somthing different.

I think the best use of a HPA rig is not to get high FPS but to get consistent shoots all year long.
Don't go over the m160m/s with 0,43 and remember to keep a safe distance between you and your target. (Play safe  )

HI can you please post some pics of your gas mask can and how you adapted it to take the regulator, also how did you modify the mag fr the tanaka to take the co2 fittings . Chef, how many shots do you get from a co2 bulb I am busy sorting out my mp44 rig.

I notice you have a QD in the line, is that a self sealing one, so when you detatch it non of the gas escapes.

The only reason I ask is because I have a QD that allows all the gas out of the bulb.... which is why I dont like it much. And if so... where did you get it?

I'll have a look at the Swagelok catalogue at work on Monday. They are the Daddies when it comes to QD connectors.

I use a kit identical to this.

http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/inde ... cts_id=883

The QD does not close when taken off, but I have a small on/off valve i can close when I change the hose from one weapon to another.

http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/inde ... cts_id=116

This is a picture of some of the magazines i have modifyed.

Drill a 9mm hole in the buttom and make a 1/8 NTP27 Thread. Then you can screw in the QD.

Here are som pictures of my gas mask canister. If you dont want to make a hole in a old can you can also wrap your HPA bottle in a zeltbahn.

The bottle is put inside a woll sock. :D

I use a 0,8L 200 BAR HPA bottle, it will give you thousands of shots in a kar 98.

You can fill the bottle at Diving shops if you have a adaptor, or you can fill it at a paintball arena. I fill mine with i handpump made for FX guns(Sweden). Its nice always to be able to fill your bottle.

No. Once you have tryed HPA you don't want to go back to green gas. The gun i so much better...

But remember to upgrade your gun with a long loading nozzle and make it air tight. :!:

Great posting. I am expecting imminent delivery of a shoei 42 and knew their were portable systems that could be put in a canister, as I dont want to stay fixed. I also like the idea of the airgun pump, albeit it will require some additional exercise to fill it! This is really helpful, as I was contemplating having to get a stell shoei bottle and lug that around.

Would be grateful for a steer on a link as to where you source you bottles and regulator that fit so well in the canister (have seen some bottles from Swords) and any thoughts on using the MG42 set up like this?
Many thanks

I have already made a link to the regulator set. It wil fitt directly on your MG42, with no modification.
I get around 2000 shots with my MP44 out of my small 0,75L bottle.
I use 210PSi and get 145m/s(475fps), I would think that the AIR consumption is the same with the MG42.
If you play by the UK roules 100m/s(330fps) you will get even more shots.

My bottels are from germany.

Don't buy bottles in the US, you have to buy the ones that live up to your contrys roules. I dont know anything about UK roules so ask a local paintball store.

The pump is from FX airguns. Ask for it at your local hunting shop, in Denmark it cost me around 130£, but you need to put a quick disconector on it in order to fill your bottles with it. This one can take 400BAR.

Here is a picture of the quick disconector on the pump.

If you want to fill the Bottle at a diving store(Scooper tank) you need an adaptor like this one.

Hope this helps you.
I use the system on my kar98, MP44 and also on the new MG42 me and my freind made for airsoft.
