CO2 for 420 fps
10 round magazine
Similar to the Tanaka Kar98k in operation.
450 USD

[Edit: My bad, I miss read this as Classic Army, instead of classic airsoft as it should be]

I'd like to know whether this new rash of CO2 rifles are in any way skirmishable.

Well, this particular one operates the same as the Kar98. I know how most people feel about shell ejecting guns in a skirmish. So what do you think?

The Tanaka K98 operates using mags, it's not shell ejecting. This one has a 10 round magazine, too.

why co2 ?thats what i think at this stage.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

I am personally not very excited about them. They don't sound to reliable but we'll see. Hoping they will make some WW2 Springers soon.

couldn't agree more, why are they all gas? it may be more cool but it comes with a heap of issues, when a good springer system is so much simpler and more consistent.

I think it's because most of these will end up going to people who want them as wall hangers, and so the gas action is more 'realistic' i.e. there's no pull weight to cock it.

Also, a lot of non-UK players seem to want a gun you can turn into a 700fps cannon.

It's because gas is the easiest way to do it and still be 99% true to the original in terms of design. True, the spring M700s are a godsend...but these aren't M700s. They have more complicated receivers and no bull barrel to hide the long spring cylinder. The zeta labs nagants are spring as well as 99% true to the originals...but they are hard to use (from personal experience) and don't hold a candle to an upgraded spring M700. I'm sure my upgraded spring M700 WW2 conversions will out perform all these Gas rifles, even an unregulated Tanaka K98k...but my conversions will never be 99% true to form. Me, i'm just happy they're making more WW2 basic battle rifles.
