All plastic? I dunno, the TM one is mostly metal and has nice weight to it... maybe I'm just too used to lugging around the heaviest rifle in Nato...

You can get a body it for it, so why not gett that. Im waiting to find out from RSOV. If it does i will have a 1928 and an M1A1 thompson, instead of converting the M1A1 into a 1928 for my commando impression.

Random, the description says plastic and the box says 'Full Metal' in the picture?

As Morgs said the TM one is a pretty nice weight with all the metal parts, one of my buddies couldn't believe it was 'only' a bb gun

All the reports I've seen of these suggest that they're going to contain at least as much metal as the TM ones :D and if it's as good quality as their AK74 it should be well worth having.

yes but i dont have the price of one of the tm thompsons to spend :P plus convincing my wife i need another gun will be enough let alone convincing her of two :P

plus not sure if I can stomach the mag poking out the bottom of the socom even if the rest of it looks like a garand heh

Sorry Gliderrider, maybe I misunderstood. Are you saying there's an affordable 1928 conversion kit in the pipeline for it? Or do you mean you'd keep your exisitng TM as an M1A1 & convert the CYMA one using the (very expensive) Mosquito Moulds kit?

Cheers.

John. :)

The latter mate, Their is a complete set out their for

Hey bros
Very sorry I made a mistake yesterday ... in fact the upper body and barrel were metal while the lower body and furniture set were plastic ...

I would order one, but after using my TM tommy on The Hill on Sunday I am more than happy with how well it performs even in such adverse conditions :)
