I have a de-activaed 1943 Mauser K98.

I was told by one person that it could be f**ked about with to make into a Airsoft rifle. Personaly I dont think this is legal in the slightest, as any modification voids it as a de-act, and in the eyes of the law it is effectivgly "re-arming it"...

if was ok to do so, i would still um and ah about it, but it would be good to know for future refrence.

Any Clues?

You're right, it's completely illegal.

You can use the stock and non working components like the sights but these can be bough seperately anyway so you might as well keep your de-act intact.

You might as well buy one of the all wood chinese K98's they're only £60 + pp and if you don't like the fact that they are shell ejecting ones you could always convert it using a vsr or similar, I think someone on the forum has already done this with a marushin shell ejector.

Actually it may be illegal to take them off the deac and use them... Buying separately will be safe though...
